From the start, the atmosphere was anything but relaxing. A loud excavator was running all day right on the beach, completely disrupting any chance of enjoying the ocean or peaceful surroundings. It felt like we were vacationing on a construction site.
On top of that, there was a constant push to spend more money. Nearly every interaction felt like a sales pitch. $75 for a bottle of basic drugstore wine? No thank you. The dining options were also surprisingly limited for a supposed “all-inclusive,” and the food overall did not match the resort’s advertised standards.
The worst part — and what left me the most upset — was getting the MOST severe food poisoning of my life on the final night. It was so bad that we had to call for medication, only to be told it would cost $250 USD for a travel-size bottle of Pepto Bismol. I was sick, miserable, and then further taken advantage of financially. I honestly wish I could be reimbursed for the hell I went through during that ordeal.
I feel tricked into believing this was one of the nicest all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic. It was absolutely not. Between the noise, the constant upselling, the limited food options, and a major health scare, I can’t in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
