This vacation apartment is part of a noble 19th century villa on a large estate in the midst of the Hyblaean countryside in southeastern Sicily. It offers its guests an impressive atmosphere in a romantic and at the same time historical ambience, full of tradition and culture. The structure has been renovated keeping the original features such as stone walls, pitchstone floors, wooden ceilings and exposed wooden beams and many other details. Access to the apartment through a large typical stone courtyard ("baglio") surrounded by various buildings, some of which are used as warehouses, others for original use, such as the church, the small country school, the stables, etc.. The apartment is on the first floor and has a large private outdoor area with jasmine plants and an ancient olive tree, equipped with table, chairs and umbrella, for outdoor dining and pleasant moments of relaxation amidst the colors and scents of the countryside and with a children's play area, common barbecue. For common use with the other guests of the property: about 70 m away, beautiful pool with a corner with 8 hydromassage jets. On the property there is a riding stable with 10 beautiful horses. The owner offers various possibilities for riding tours and riding lessons. Ideal destination for a relaxing vacation in the middle of unspoiled nature. Various places of interest are within easy reach: 4 km Donnafugata with its beautiful castle; 27 km the small hill town of Chiaromonte Gulfi with breathtaking views, known as the 'balcony of Sicily'; cities of Sicilian Baroque such as Comiso (14 km) and Ragusa Ibla (19 km). 20 km the seaside resort of Marina di Ragusa with beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear sea, marina, stores of all kinds and vibrant nightlife. Video surveillance is available on the property. Access via 300 m gravel road.

Accommodation not at all matching the description. Big disappointment

I am very disappointed of this place and also quite angry because the accommodation we had did not match the description at all, and the owner simply put the blame on Novasol, with the tiniest possible effort to comply with our requests. 1. The description mentioned "The apartment is on the first floor and has a large private outdoor area with jasmine plants and an ancient olive tree, equipped with table, chairs and umbrella". Unfortunately we never got this apartment because the owner simply said that it was already "sold" when we booked it, but she never informed us about its unavailability. So we got another apartment without private space whatsoever. After we complained she gave us a table for sitting outside, which however was in the middle of the public courtyard. 2. The description mentioned the presence of a washing mashine, which was not present. 3. The kitchen was rather symbolic, almost no tools 4. We chose NOT to use the room cleaning service (which was at extra payment!) but also we did not find any tools for cleaning and finally we had to buy our own broom to have at least some tidyness. What disappointed me most was the absolute indifference of the owner regarding these issues, simply saying that Novasol had changed the description. Besides this, the place and location is beautiful, but being treated like this in Sicily, where usually facility owners are extremely nic and helpful, is really disappointing. Never again
