This is a well maintained and equipped with everything you would need. Amenities are in the upper echelon. Nothing is skimped on at this location. A big plus is central location for all of the rapid city activities. Every one is extremely friendly and helpful. The bonus is an onsite taproom. Great way to relax after a long day of tourist activity. Highly recommend.

Perfect location for a Black Hills vacation

The location was great, everything we wanted to see was about an hour or less from the house. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Mammoth Dig Site, Badlands, Wall Drug, Deadwood, Sturgis, and Spearfish Canyon. Hill City and Keystone were both close by and convenient for grocery shopping, restaurants, and fun shopping. Also, a very easy drive to and from the airport.The house was clean, bright, comfortable, and well-stocked with supplies, utensils, dishes, towels, and toiletries. The homemade plate of cookies was a great touch!We loved the hot tub; however, all the trees around the house created a perfect place for the birds to hang out, making the deck leading to the hot tub a minefield of bird droppings.The only other negative was that none of the 5 bedrooms had a dresser, and only one or two night tables with a small drawer. We had to live out of our suitcases for the week.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of South Dakota and would reserve this house again without a second thought.

Great place for our two families

This place worked great for our quick trip to SD. We had two families with teens and there was a good amount of space for sleeping. Would have liked a second area for hanging out, as that was a little cramped with 8 of us, but other than that, it was great. We enjoyed having a hot tub and management was great with communication and accommodation requests. The property does not have a dishwasher or a disposal in the kitchen sink, so that made meal time a little more work.

We were in the area for a wedding and this was the perfect location. Had a washer and dryer for those longer trips and several rooms incase you needed the space. Easy to access and the owners were available for communication throughout the stay. Would stay here again!

The cabin is beautifully updated, loved the decor! There were 5 large bedrooms, more than enough room for our family. Beds are super comfortable. So nice having a full kitchen, washer and dryer right in the cabin! It was stocked with everything you need... dishes, towels, linens, toiletries. There are multiple decks outside to sit and take in the peaceful scenery. I regret that we were only able to use the hot tub twice... we were so tired at the end of the day from touristy stuff! Kids loved the playground and outdoor games. We went to the taproom many times and sampled wine and some local beers. Staff were so kind and helpful! So, so glad we decided to rent a cabin instead of staying in a hotel! Lots of memories made with our family. We weren't able to do a cave tour while we visited, will definitely be back for another SD adventure. Thanks so much for everything!!!

Great place to stay in the black hills.

Black Elk was a perfect place to stay on our family and friends vacation. We had adults and small children. The house was perfect for our party of 11. It was clean and the host answered all questions and was very helpful. The grounds were amazing for the kid to play in the evening. We will definiately be staying here again
