The ratings lie. This place seems to service indigencents and drug addicts and felt downright unsafe. Check-in was fine, and the young man was very nice, but when I went around to the door, he directed me to, a man was hanging around outside and came through the door as I unlocked it with my bags. He met up with another man and went down to his room. It seemed very sketchy.
I walked into my room and it smelled awful the bedding was clean, the floors and mattress were an ill repair When I opened the toilet, there was a fled piece of toilet paper floating in the water. Very gross to see someone else’s 💩 stain. I was in a handicap, accommodating room, and one of the bars was pulled off the wall. The heater did not work and the room was freezing. Sheets were clean and there was no sign of bugs, but I could hear the people next-door in their toilet.
When I was checking out, the clerk was berating, a man who had snuck in another party for the evening. Clearly, this man was also a “special “guest.
I’m under the impression that this super eight has a contract with the city for unhoused persons. I’m OK with that, but when I’m not OK with is the drug use, the smoking, and generally just feeling abilities, and being concerned that my car would be broken into. I do not recommend this facility.
