Sounds like a window is open

The room that I was given, gave me the worst nights sleep ever. The sound of the traffic was so loud, I thought a window was open. When I spoke with reception about it, they didn’t really care about my experience and poor nights sleep. Being a friendly member I received no discount of food and especially not in the parking. Myself and my partner had to both drive. So paying for two cars in full price parking could have nearly paid for a second night.

I love staying there. Amazing staff who always go above and beyond to make the experience top notch. Cherry on the cake is the 3pm checkout time for Sunday. Will always be my number one choice. And it’s within my budget

The security was very rude and intimidatory. They Would not allow me into the property without my key card. I explained that my friend has the key card and went back to the room early. I was the lead guest in the booking. I had email confirmation, my ID and the card I used to pay. Hotel security still refused me entry. I had to call the reception desk to get approval access. This was 4am. Prior to this rude hiccup I enjoyed my stay. After this incident it put a dampen on the rest of the trip.

The good: Modern, surprisingly spacious rooms for these rates, a much better than expected and well looked after gym, and a fun and funky design throughout the hotel. The bad: shocking amount of litter right outside the entrance to the building, in the flower beds, etc (why on earth wouldn't you clean that up? Street cleaners aren't gonna do it and makes such an awful first impression). Location is very central but not on a great street. Finally, in terms of security, we gave our luggage to reception to look after while we waited to check in. We returned to see our bags had been put just to one side of (and outside of) reception, wide out in the open, no security at all. Overall, it's an excellent economy hotel but could be better - and I'd pay a little extra if it was.
