This was an incredible hotel for a 2-start hotel. Amazing view, nice and clean. The only two complaints I had were: (1) sliding bathroom door that did not quite close; and (2) could easily hear noise from other rooms - including footsteps above us. Would stay here again and cross my fingers there was no one above us! Or at least no one loud...

The shower pressure stunk. And as for selling it as Beach View, you really have to sit at the window to see the beach. Front desk was very nice. Also they did not do housekeeping while we were there. No towel changes.

The beach location was perfect; what a lovely beach. I have wanted to visit Dewey beach and I was not disappointed. The hotel was nicely decorated and rooms were spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Booked a deluxe beach view and you have to look around a corner to see the beach, feel like they need to be more clear on what you’re looking at. Parking is non existent if you come in later.

Surf Club is a no frills beach house type motel that still offers all the modern amenities like in-room coffee maker, fridge, micro, wifi, etc (kitchenette). My wife and I felt like we were in the nostalgia of the 1960's. Couldn't care less that there was no elevator, the hotel is only 3 floors and there's an awesome retro dumbwaiter that takes your zooms your luggage to your floor. The staircase and hallways are narrow, and of course they are, because that's a 1960 beach front hotel. It was practical then and awesome now to stay in a place that takes you back to the very roots of beachfront living. The room reminded me of a stateroom in a clipper ship (google it) with it's clapboard, exposed beams, quaint little nooks and you absolutely will not find a more breathtaking view. Everything you need is there so you don't have to sacrifice comfort in any way, but the feel, the vibe, and the look of Ocean Club is exactly what you want if a beach house is where you want to stay. My wife and I will 1000% be back. Hopefully soon !
