I liked the ability to walk to the beach and bay easily. Multiple coffee options nearby. I was surprised by the "resort" fee at check in. Additional $ to cover parking, pool (which was not open yet and scummy), and some games out back that we didn't play. Perhaps that fee was mentioned on the description and we missed it.

Very rude staff-the front desk agent this morning was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I did complain my room was filthy- the so called blackout drape was so faded, you could see through it. It was replaced and a sturdier rod. Unbelievable- I could go on. Do not stay here. The only good thing about this place is the bay view, which I heard had flooded the bottom floor rooms-my room had a terrible mold smell…

I really enoyed my one week stay at Bay Resort. The staff is kind and welcoming. The room was great and easy to prepare simple meals. Great area to walk your dog. I will definitely be returning!

Although I don't expect a 5-star resort for the price, I at least expect disposable utensils if there's a kitchenette. Also, it has a mini-fridge, which is great, but it was off and warm when I got there. The bedsheets had what looked like pizza sauce on it. Also, the pool wasn't open, which is fine because it was cold, but I didn't love the green and dirty water in it. Is it ok for the price? Perhaps, but I made the reservation via Expedia, paid up, but when I went to check in, they charge me an extra $16 for extra "fees". And I understand, $16 is not a big deal, but it is annoying to be paying some random extra fees for no reason. I wanted to save money and that's why I chose this place, but after this experience, my wife would've preferred if we paid extra and stayed at a better place. This place just felt, I don't know, shady. And I mean, it was fine, but I would only stay there again if I'm either very strapped for cash or there was no other option nearby.

This hotel is perfect for walking the river. You need to get to. Our room was very comfortable and I love the fact that it had a small kitchen and refrigerator. Also was clean with a pool. Definitely stay again

Super nice and friendly staff. Clean and easy to access from the Ocean Hwy. Property has a huge potential, just a bit run down. Water damage on bottom of doors, HVAC sys could be upgraded. Overall, a decent place to stay, close to the ocean and direct access to the bay waters.

Very friendly and helpful after hours

I had an issue where I left my laptop in the room, but the hotel then closed for the week I called the reservation line they sent somebody over who had to drive 30 minutes just so they can re-Treeve the laptop for me, which was very much appreciated very friendly there. Definitely recommend staying there again

Hotel overall was great. Front desk staff was welcoming, friendly and loved the view of the bay. The back area was gorgeous. Room was fine but there was hair all over the shower wall and a false eyelash under the soap (luckily soap was sealed). Also wish there were better outlets. But regardless - proximity, view & staff I would still stay there again easily.
