Total Rennes Disappointment

We rented an apartment in Rennes that was advertised as having 2 bathrooms - it had one toilet and 2 showers (one of which was so small that it was unusable by adults). We were told that in France 2 showers means they can list as having 2 bathrooms. The garage gate failed the day we arrived and was out of order for a full day. We were trapped inside without being able to use our car for sightseeing. The shutters on the window in the principal bedroom did not close - bright daylight streamed in at sunrise - Impossible to sleep. The shower door on the one useable shower did not close and water flooded the bathroom until it got fixed midway in our stay. The laundry machine had a dryer which we could not get to work. Clothes were sopping wet. The apartment also had 5 locks - seriously 5 locks - on the front door so hard to open and close - not sure why. The management company is closed on weekends and cannot provide support then. The agent who “welcomed” us to the place sped through the intro at such a high rate of speed, it was impossible to figure out details. There are zero instructions on the dishwasher, laundry machine and/or any HVAC. We were not even sure if there was a HVAC system. Do not rent here is you have options!

L'Air was outstanding! Spacious, modern, well-equipped, fabulous location, highly secure, plenty of light, comfortable, and spotlessly clean - these are all ways to describe the unit (L'Air) that my family of four adults rented in Rennes. I wish our stay could have been longer because the accommodation was outstanding. If we are back in Rennes, we will definitely try to stay here again. The rental agency and local contact were prompt, efficient, and courteous. We enjoyed getting to know Amirouche, who was the local contact. Top notch experience from every angle.
