Decent hotel for the price, not clean, bad wifi

Good hotel, decent decor and ambiance but WiFi was terrible and bathroom smelled horrible. Place was not vacuumed well and the ice machine never worked on our floor. Pool was nice to be indoors but was not very clear and sort of cloudy. The arcade is pretty overpriced as most of Reno’s resorts

I've stayed at the Nugget for years and love the retro and patina'd vibe of the casino floor that just doesn't exist in Vegas anymore. Many of the staffers, especially in the restaurant, have been there for years and are hilarious and fun to talk to. The rooms are great, updated in the 2010's so pretty clean. The showers (at least every one I've used) have insane water pressure and get nice and hot. This property doesn't get 5 stars from me because of the FIFTY THREE DOLLAR RESORT FEE. Just make the rooms more expensive up-front if you have to, I don't use the wifi and I don't use the workout room. Booking through Expedia, at least the stupid fee is added to the price right away so you're not surprised, but it's still an infuriating add-on that most casinos are guilty of, though Nugget's $53 fee takes the cake in cost vs. room price.

Our room was next to a railroad yard so it was very loud all night, security randomly knocked on our door 3 times at 2:30am, the entire property smells mildewy. The comedy show, drink service, and Rosie’s Cafe were wonderful!
