Villa Givera nestles in a peaceful hillside setting just 5 km far from the town of Rethymnon and 3 km far from the closest sandy beach. This lovely property enjoys full privacy and magnificent views to the clear blue sky, the Cretan countryside with the olive groves and the inviting sea.

The villa boasts a spacious, well appointed interior (130 sq.m.) with wooden ceiling and stone tile details, and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 persons in its 3 airy and sunny bedrooms. The big spaces, the classy decor, the large terrace with its lovely sunsets, the stunning swimming pool as well as the beautiful gardens and the BBQ facilities will give your vacation a special touch of comfort and wellness.

Outdoor
The villa features a 1000 sqm outdoor space with a large tile paved veranda and an even larger pool deck with a private, eco friendly swimming pool (9m long & 1.40m deep). The spectacular views and the breathtaking sunsets will enchant you each day and evening, assuring you a memorable stay. The family size wooden table of the veranda invites you to enjoy your Cretan meals, while the lounge furniture is ideal for a night drink by the pool. At the stone-built BBQ facilities with the extra sink and fridge you can experience homemade al fresco lunches. Additionally, there is a lot of space covered with grass, ornamental trees, rose bushes, geraniums and aromatic plants, whilst the stone paved path leading to the entrance of the villa is the perfect place to safely park your car.

Indoor
The villa is a one-storey building with a stylishly furnished open-plan living room and a large fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 4. The spacious sitting area features one triple and one double sofa, an armchair, a dining table for 6, a fireplace, and two double windows opening onto the veranda and the swimming pool. A long corridor connects the living room with the bedrooms and bathrooms. The villa disposes of three bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins) with great views to the garden and pool, and two bathrooms: one with bathtub and another with shower cabin. The house is equipped with a/c in all bedrooms and living room, washing machine, dishwasher, free satellite WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player, hairdryer, safe box, iron/iron board, first aid kit and all necessary items and appliances for a comfortable stay.

Fantastic Stay at Villa Givera

We have enjoyed a brilliant week in this villa. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful, but only 10 minutes drive from all the amenities on the coast. The villa is spacious, clean and beautifully maintained. The pool is fantastic and there is plenty of shade for a break from the sunshine. Marina's communication was brilliant, and made our stay very easy, I really can't fault this property, and will gladly book again in the future.

Beautiful Home away from Home!

Everything about this place was wonderful. The pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful and meticulously well-maintained this place is. They clearly care about keeping it great shape, and it shows! Marina was very helpful with suggestions and advice. She welcomed us when we arrived and had brought us a basket of fresh fruit, which was very kind. This place is a five minute drive up a somewhat winding road, but it is an easy drive, even at night, so we did not find that troublesome. The location has excellent privacy and gorgeous sunset views to be enjoyed from the patio or the pool. I genuinely don’t have a single complaint. It was a wonderful vacation home and great central location for exploring the island on day trips. Thanks Marina and family for letting us stay there!

A perfect house for a family holiday

We stayed at Villa Givera in August of 2021, and it was our favorite stay throughout our 14 days in Greece. We loved, loved, LOVED the house itself. Our teenager had his own room and our 5-year-old was excited by the kid toys that the host had left for her. Having your own private pool with a view of the ocean was amazing! We made a point of watching the sunset from the pool every day we were there. Definitely use the outdoor kitchen as well. One of the best dinners of the entire trip was when we picked up souvlaki, lamb burgers, and halloumi cheese from a nearby supermarket to grill and had a family night in cooking, drinking wine, and watching the sunset. The location is wonderful. You can be in old town Rethymno in less than 10 minutes, our favorite restaurant was Taverna Zisis--only six minutes away--because it has a playground for kids to play while you take your time with dinner. Also nearby-- hiking in Myloi Gorge in ten minutes or on a beach in 15. The bigger beaches of Triopetra and Damnoni are a bit further, but manageable -- about 45 minutes away on the other side of the island. We would absolutely stay there again!

Beautiful villa

Cannot speak too highly about this villa. It had everything we needed. Plenty of space, fantastic inside and out. Pool great size and as for the views and sunsets- wow! Yes it is a little out of the way but worth it.

Marina was most helpful on our late arrival! The villa has everything you need fully equipped kitchen etc. The villa has a spectacular view and easy access to rethmyno. Fabulous Villa in a quiet, peaceful location.

We chose this villa because of its location - a 10 minute drive to Rethymno but away from the 'tourist' area. It is set on a hillside covered in olive groves and looks out across the bay in front. It is a good location for exploring much of the Island and we would recommend you visit the south coast with its wonderful beaches. Marina and her team were always very efficient and helpful, responding quickly to any problems or queries we had. Andreas took great care of the pool and garden as well as any handyman jobs that needed his attention. The villa is very well equipped and supermarkets and a bakery are 10 minutes drive away. Restaurants in Rethymno are plentiful with some lovely locations in the old town. We would recommend Alana - we had some excellent meals there, service is great. Rethymno has changed since we lasted visited about 30 years ago - many more buildings, but the island retains its charm and character with a warm and friendly welcome.

Traumhaus mit herzlicher Gastgeberin – rundum perfekter Urlaub!

Die Gastgeberin war unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat uns schon bei der Vorbereitung mit vielen wertvollen Tipps unterstützt. Besonders toll: Am ersten Abend hat sie uns ein leckeres Essen ins Haus liefern lassen – ein perfekter Start in den Urlaub!Das Haus selbst bietet alles, was man sich wünscht: einen traumhaften Ausblick, einen wunderschönen Garten und einen großen Pool, der nicht nur unseren Kleinen begeistert hat. Auch die Ausstattung im Haus lässt absolut keine Wünsche offen – es ist an alles gedacht.Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Haus besonders Familien mit Kindern wärmstens empfehlen. A lovely holiday House

Overall a very beautiful and charming House, with all what you need as a family who prefer privacy and a quiet place. The pictures shows exactly what you get. The play area for The kids was really Nice, but unfortunately we could not use it, because The sand was literally filled with cat excrement.

Die perfekte Unterkunft in Rethymno

Die Villa ist wirklich großartig und genau wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Alles ist sehr sauber und ordentlich, zweimal pro Woche wird alles gereinigt, es gibt jedes Mal frische Handtücher und Bettwäsche. Die ruhige Lage in den Bergen mit Blick auf Rethymno und das Meer sind ein Traum, die Außenküche super praktisch und mit dem Auto ist man in gut 5 Minuten beim Bäcker und in 10 Minuten beim Supermarkt. Marina ist wirklich eine großartige Gastgeberin! Danke!!!

Das Haus samt Garten mit Pool ist tiptop gepflegt und mit viel Liebe ausgestattet. Toller Blick auf Meer und Rethymnon von der Terrasse aus. Und mit dem Mietwagen ist man schnell an den Stränden der Insel und in der Stadt.

Lovely home with privacy and great view

There are many positive things to say about the villa, but what we most liked was: the architecture of the building. All the rooms face the same view. There are no stairs, there is only one step from the verandas to the large pool of which the water level is equal with the terrace, no edges around the pool and there is a shower. The garden has beautiful plants, trees and flowers. The house feels like a real home, not a holiday home, because of the chosen furniture, decorations and plants. All the windows have build-in insect screens and schutters. We absolutely loved the bed linen, luxurious and soft. The owner is very kind and was understandable as we couldn’t come in 2020. The villa has had many improvements through the years and is very well maintained and we hope to come back again. We have stayed in several other villas but this one is our favorite.

Villa mit sehr schönem Meerblick

Die Villa Givera hält wirklich, was die Bilder versprechen. Wer einen ruhigen (Familien-)Urlaub sucht, kann das Objekt beruhigt buchen. In der Nähe gibt es genügend Supermärkte und kleine Tavernen für die „Versorgung“, allerdings ist dafür ein Mietwagen nötig. Die Anmietung und Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr unkompliziert und hat super geklappt. Wir können das Haus absolut empfehlen. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die schlechte Internetverbindung, die ständig ausfällt.

Ein traumhaftes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung

Vorweg, die Bilder werden dem tatsächlichen Haus nicht gerecht, es ist noch viel besser! Wir wurden von einem sehr netten Kontakt vor Ort begrüßt. Da wir recht spät angereist sind wurde auch an die Verpflegung gedacht. Das Haus selbst ist etwas abgelegen, aber dadurch sehr ruhig. Es ist sehr geräumig und gepflegt. Verschiedenes Personal kümmert sich um die Sauberkeit und die Außenanlagen, auch während des Aufenthaltes. Es wird alles geboten, was zu einem erholsamen Urlaub gehört.

Herrlicher Kreta Urlaub

Wir haben 2 schöne Wochen in dieser schönen Villa verbracht. Am meisten genossen haben wir den tollen Pool und den Ausblick mit den herrlichen Sonnenuntergängen. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Zusätzlich wird mittwochs und samstags geputzt und es gibt frische Handtücher usw....das Haus liegt schön ruhig ca. 10 Minuten bis in die Altstadt von Rethymon. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen....:)

Fantastic holidays at Villa Givera

Villa Givera is really a gem and even nicer than you would expect from the ad in the internet. Marina the landlady is very nice and gave us a friendly welcome with a local snack exactly at the time arranged by SMS/phone. She showed us around and even offered to arrange for food delivery to the house by local caterers (gyros etc.) . The villa is ideally located at the Eastern outskirts of Rethymno and easily accessible as the highway interchange is only about 10 min away. There are no neighbors besides the two holiday houses uphill which are, however, not within earshot. There is not much traffic on the adjacent road either. The house is lovingly furnished and decorated. The garden is well manicured and the pool is splendid. The house, garden and pool were taken care of by a cleaning lady and a caretaker who provided their unobtrusive services three times during our two weeks‘ stay. So, we were relieved from the otherwise onerous housekeeping duties and could just relax. We (two adults and two girls of 10 yrs) enjoyed our stay very much and spent an aggregate 7 days in the villa without leaving the place since it provides everything you need for a holiday. The beautiful beaches on the south coast and even more beautiful Lake Kournas are just a 40 minutes‘ drive away. Downtown Rethymno can be reached in 15 min. We are looking forward to our next time at Villa Givera and can recommend this place for every party of up to six people.

Mit einer herzlichen Begrüßung begann und und einem freundlichen Kontakt endete unser Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Dazwischen lagen zwei herrliche Wochen in der Villa Givera. Viele haben schon positve Bewertungen zum Objekt geschrieben und genau so ist es! Selten habe ich eine so freundliche Begrüßung erlebt und noch nie in einem so schönen Haus meinen Urlaub verbracht. Ich werde die Zeit nie vergessen und bedanke mich nochmals bei Marina, die immer freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Super nützlich waren ihre Tipps zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, schönen Stränden (Souda–Beach war auch unser Favorit) und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Durch die Übersendung der GPS–Daten war alles über das Navi leicht zu finden. Kreta war genauso wie vor 27 Jahren ein tolles Urlaubsziel!,

Alles wie beschrieben. Super gepflegtes Haus und toller Service.

Die Villa ist super! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super war auch die Hausreinigung alle 4 Tage inklusive Handtuchwechsel.

Comfortable and clean with a nice pool and sea view.

Givera is a comfortable and clean villa with a great pool and sea views from the hill. Close enough to Rethymon for restaurants and beach but when back at the villa it has the country side feel to it. Enough sunbeds and outside furniture and shaded areas to project against the sun if one wishes. Marina the ownet is very helpfull and promptly responding. A great stay and well recommended. We were staying as a family of six.

Die Bilder sagen alles - ein traumhaftes Haus!

Oft entsprechen die Bilder in Katalogen oder dem Internet nicht der Realität. Das gilt nicht für die Villa Givera! Alles war genauso schön wie auf den Bildern. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub in der Villa Givera verbracht. Haus, Pool und Garten sehr gepflegt! Mehrmaliger Wäsche- und Reinigungsservice im Haus und am Pool und im Garten.
