Frobshire Cottage offers a unique, home from home experience for families requiring ground floor wheelchair friendly accommodation that has been designed by an Occupational Therapist.

Frobshire Cottage has incorporated accessibility equipment and adaptions to support guests independence wrapped up in everything you would need in a lovely family home.

With level access into the property and wheelchair ramps into garden and patio area. Offering ground floor living with a fold out bed with back rest adjustment, bed rails to aid transfer and 13 inch mattress. Suitable separate from living room. Overlooking the garden. If guest are not able to ascend and descend the staircase. Level access shower with shower stool and grab rails. Additional, grad rails next to toilet, the small steps into the conservatory and kitchen, recline chair to the ground floor.

With consideration to guest ability continuing to the the upper floor via a bed lever to aid bed transfers upstairs. A commode for upstairs toileting, to prevent descending the stair case at night. A second banister rail, motion sensors on the stairs and new stair case carpet. If guest can manage to complete stair mobility. We have aimed to provide equipment and adaptations to make stair mobility as safe as possible. As please note the two double bedrooms are situated upstairs and accessed via staircase.

Frobshire Cottage offers a peaceful coastal retreat with an enclosed private garden - perfect for able bodied and user with mobility difficulties that can access the upstairs bedroom, with second bannister rail. That would also benefit from the ground floor amenities.

Families requiring a travel cot and mattress, nappy bin, high chair, stair gate provided.

Set on the edge of Dunwich Forest, you're within one mile walk and easy reach of the town's wheelchair accessible pier, sea front, village, cafe’s, bars and restaurants. Independent shops, and seafront charm. As well as, near by Wheelchair accessible beaches.

Bedrooms:
Two double bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping space for up to four guests. Each room has a bedroom furniture, chest of draws, wardrobe and hangers for your belongings, dressing table, stool, mirror with bed linen, duvet and pillows provided. Each room has a ceiling fan for the hot summer nights. One bedroom has a bed leaver to aid independent bed transfers.

Bathroom:
The cottage has a ground floor level access bathroom for wheelchair users, with shower stool and grad rails in sit u. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and body crème toiletries, and a hairdryer available in the bedroom.

Washing machine, full set of pans, kettle, toaster, microwave, slow cooker, dishwasher, all the cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, gin glasses, brandy glasses and champagne flutes.

Practical Details:
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. Can be arranged an early check in and late check out at an additional cost. Children and infants are welcome. Pets are welcome. No smoking and no group bookings. A laundry room with a washing machine, iron, ironing board and clothes drying rack is available. A cleaning fee and pet fee applies.
