The room was beautiful and spacious. We room for the kids to sleep on the pull out sofa and a crib without being too crowded. It was nearby many restaurants, shops, and landmarks.

Great location perfect for walking around around to see all the central attractions. Close to bus stop 9 which made it very easy to take excursions. Highly recommend this hotel. It also has a nice restaurant and Starbucks next door.

Our King Guest Room was comfortable with good storage. Staff was superb, friendly and helpful. Convenient to bus stop for tours and transfers (1.5 blocks). Several good restaurants nearby. This is a tourist area and many of the stores are oriented to serving tourists.

Centrally located in central business district. 40 min from airport and 15 minutes to cruise line pier. A queen room was unbelievably small, even for 2 people. Difficult to get into one side of the bed, which was a few inches from the window and no place to store 2 /26" suitcases.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location!

The hotel is just a few minutes from the cruise port. It is located on one of the main streets within walking distance of many attractions and lots of shopping. There is even a Starbucks on property. However the room offers great coffee and tea choices as well as a fridge. I have to say the breakfast buffet is the best I've been to in a hotel. It's not your usual carb overload. There are lots of local foods including homemade juice shots. Oatmeal, fruit and yogurt, eggs, sausage, potatoes, beans, homemade breads, pancakes, and lots of cold cuts and cheeses. The room was clean and well appointed with a nice balcony. The bed was very comfortable with fluffy comforters. The bathroom was big. It took a bit to get used to an open shower. I love that they store your luggage if needed. The only thing I was very disappointed in was the staff at the front desk. It wasn't just me, I had several chances to observe them and their interactions. For the most part you feel ignored while waiting to check in or ask a question. A quick... I'll be with you in a moment would go a long way. Once you are being helped they are very nice and attentive.

Property is great but the service is absolutely horrible. For the price point of the hotel it’s ridiculous. Asked for late check out and was told it was $45 and I’d have to come down in the morning to confirm if it was possible. The whole point of late check out is to sleep in! Also a staff member couldn’t speak Icelandic and was extremely rude when asking for basic things such as late check out or to check the room for a missing item. Overall nice hotel ruined by a very rude and unprofessional employee

Spent a week in the hotel

Pros - we had a room on the third floor at the back of the hotel so it was quiet - was able to put the radiator on when it got cold and open the windows when it was too warm - room was cleaned daily - black out curtains were very effective Cons - queen suite was very very small - room was a little tired with some chipped paintwork - no space to unpack. A few hangers were provided - breakfast was adequate but cheaper and much options at the local bakeries
