While this hotel was on a list as a good place to stay because of it’s central location, I found it to be very noisy, the pubs do not close down until the early morning hours on the weekends so music and people talking, yelling, and enjoying themselves can be heard throughout the night.

Good... could easily get to great!

Suggest the hotel use a single queen sized comforter for the queen bed, rather than two twin comforters. Our mattress was too soft... perhaps needs replacing. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, convenient location.

I made an error with my booking dates and within 5 minutes contacted the hotel via Expedia asking to correct them. They refused to entertain it so I had paid for 3 nights I couldn't use. Ok my mistake but not customer friendly or accommodating. Beware.

Our ground floor room was very loud at all hours - from the nearby bar at night, and the construction happening through the walls during the day. Aside from the noise, the room was clean and comfortable with a good and central location.

I had a wonderful stay at Center Hotels Plaza and would highly recommend it, especially for solo female travelers. The hotel was clean, quiet, and felt very safe throughout my stay. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the location was excellent—right in the heart of Reykjavik, close to restaurants, shops, and major attractions. My room was comfortable and well-maintained, and I appreciated the sense of security as a solo traveler. This hotel truly offers peace of mind and comfort. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I booked through Expedia while my sister booked directly through the hotels site. Her room was 10x better and we booked the same thing. The hotel was in a great place, right in the middle of everything! If you want quiet, this is not the place for you! We were across the plaza from 2 dance clubs and numerous bars.

Great location, nice bathroom in room and helpful staff for the most part. Rooms a little dated and somewhat confusing to navigate around the hotel (2 buildings merged together). Noisy at night but can’t beat the central location!

The location was fabulous, right in the center of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to pickup and dropoff tours. Lots of restaurants and shopping at your fingertips. You could leave your luggage in a locker prior to check in and after checkout enabling you to walk around the city without having to carry it with you. I would definitely stay there again when I return and recommend it to others.

Can not speak more highly about this location! This place has my money when I return to Reykjavik. The staff was both accommodating and pleasant to interact with. Our room was equally as pleasant. This trip I actually experienced a moment where I lost my wallet in the street. After looking every where in the street, I eventually had to go on with my trip with no wallet. After sometime once I had returned home from my trip, I received an email from the hotel stating that my wallet had been dropped off at the hotel and that they were willing to ship it to me. My wallet is now on it's way back to me thanks to great citizens and an awesome hotel.

I stayed at this hotel twice in a week, with one night elsewhere in the middle of the week. The first two nights I stayed in a standard plus room, which was great. The second three nights I stayed in the standard room, which was not as nice. The beds weren’t as comfy, the tv didn’t work, and the hot water had a strong sulfur smell. Contrasting between the two, I would definitely recommend the plus rooms over the standard.

The plus room was great, easy check in. They provided a fan which was nice since the hotel does not have AC. Nice bathtub.
