The property was very clean, the rooms comfortable. The owners were helpful and on site. There was a sweet little lounge upstairs and outside seating. Very convenient to downtown Rekyjavik but also very quiet.

Wonderful stay at the Freyja Guesthouse and Suites for my family of four. Clean and comfortable family suite with a private bathroom. There is a lovely lounge with snacks and drinks to purchase. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. Location can't be bit in the center of Reykjavik and in walking distance of all main attractions and restaurants. Would highlighly recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Freyja Guesthouse in Iceland. From the moment we arrived, the greeting staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and informative — they truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home and to help us get the most out of our visit. The location couldn't be better — it's within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants, shops, and some of Reykjavik’s top sights, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Our suite was immaculate — spotlessly clean, beautifully updated, and modern in design. It had all the comforts of home and then some. You can really tell that a lot of thought and care has gone into making the space both functional and stylish. We would not hesitate to return to Freyja Guesthouse on our next trip to Iceland, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reykjavik. A truly memorable and comfortable stay!

Everything was perfect! We had a great stay, the host (Ingo) was very nice and kind, and helped me with my parking payment issue. But keep in mind that the free street parking might be limited, we were lucky to get the last parking spot at around 7:30-8:00pm. And keep in mind, the laundry is not self-service, so you may need to allow more time for the laundry company to wash and dry your clothes.

Would stay there again, with a private bathroom!

Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Only a block from Hallgrimskirkja, the church with the huge tower. Good restaurants nearby. Easy self-parking. Nice shared kitchen. Only 2 electrical plug-ins in the whole room which was inconvenient. My wife did not like the shared bathroom, but that was my fault for booking it!

Amazing location close to the famed church in Reykjavik. We walked to the nearby cafe which was terrific offering traditional Icelandic food. The staff was super friendly and the room was able to accommodate me and my 3 children. After an overnight flight - it was great to get a good nights sleep in your hotel.

We loved our February stay at Freya. The room was so cozy and quiet. The shared bathroom was just outside the room and worked out fine. It was nice to have access to a kitchen, and the complimentary smoothies and cake were a personal touch. The location was great for us...near shopping and restaurants.

Near the central of the city and reasonably cheap. Very friendly and personal staff. The facility itself is basic, but it is clean and well maintain. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place to be. If you are looking for a place that is functional, clean, convenient, friendly, and good value, this is the place for you.

This guesthouse was wonderful. We opted for a shared bath but never had an issue with it being unavailable. The rooms are very spacious & shared kitchen has a full size fridge to use as well as coffee & tea provided. We enjoyed the 3rd floor social room and the convenient parking and walk to shops & restaurants. There is a delicious bakery nearby we went for pasties a couple mornings....YUM!

Perfect place for a much needed getaway

Perfect location just a few blocks from the church and a pickup spot for tours. The room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom down the hall but no problem. Cold water and mango smoothies in refrig, complete kitchen which I did not use lounging area upstairs. A very good coffee place next door with great coffee and yogurt. I will definitely stay there on my next trip ti Iceland.

It’s less than a ten min walk to the property so don’t pay extra for the flybys if you can wheel your luggage just head for the cathedral it is in the street immediately behind and the chimes are switched off at 9pm

Fantastic property, very well located. Family run business, they have taken exceptional attention to detail. The room was very comfortable for sleeping and spacious. The kitchen was clean and stocked with dishes and pots for cooking. They have coffee, tea and chocolates available all the time. The hosts were easily accessible and happy to help with any requests. The only downside is some noise transfer between rooms. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs!

Lovely guesthouse, very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Because of delayed flight we were exhausted on arrival but our smiling host offered us an upgrade and recommended a great restaurant serving local cuisine within walking distance. So even though we had a shorter visit than planned the helpful hosts did there best to improve our stay. Highly recommend.

The location is very convenience. Park a little hard if you arrived late. They very care and help you checking smoothly even though you checking late. The owner is very nice and make all guests free mango smoothie and it was delicious. The room is spacious and neat. The bathroom is shared but very clean. You can go other levels to use bathroom if the level that you stay is occupied.
