Saray Monumental Luxury Villa

The Villa has been re-constructed with integration of the old medieval parts Saray or Seray is a word of Persian origin (سرای sarai) which means "palace and in Hebrew my princess

The Saray ,a magnificence villa  inside the medieval city of Rhodes with pool and a garden of 1.200 m2 on the path of Pythagoras .The Mansion is dated back to 1901 and has been lovely restored under supervision by the architect Maria Ioannou.
The luxury villa offers in the Main house 4 bedroom and 2 bathrooms with shower & bidet ,a kitchen with dishwasher and an open dining area on 2 floors with a m2 of 240 .An auditorium, with a closed wooden balcony  ,windows with a 180 degree view over the medieval city and sea view on the first floor.A cozy sitting area invites you to enjoy the sunrise or sunset.

The separate souterrain with stone arch offers an additional open kitchen with washing machine & tumble dryer ,a mezzanine for sleeping 2 persons & 2 person on sleeping sofa and 2 separate bathrooms with shower, toilet & bidet surrounded by glass windows. We rent separate this unit and the pool and garden is shared with max. 2 persons. If you would like to rent the whole villa included this separate apartment we charge an additional fee ,please drop us a line .

The Saray is a monumental villa and famous of it’s history, the  decor is elaborate and the wood is crafted in a way that includes mimics stone architectural elements of the building.The floor of the hall is covered with tiles and the ceiling are wooden. A handmade wooden staircase with wooden banisters and railing, leads us to the first floor. All rooms have wooden floors (ground floor with tiles) and ceilings , large windows and air-condition.Internal are only used Katrani, timber which  brought from Turkey and marketed in Rhodes, Egypt &  Marseille.The first floor and ceiling are made of wood but the ceiling is hand painted in shades of blue, yellow and tampa. Two large square frames covering the roof . Geometric shapes and romantic garlands patterns give a casual sophisticated sense of nobility without excesses.


Bathrobes, slippers, and other comfort amenities.Central air condition heating throughout the house witch give the possibility for rent during the winter.All areas of the Family Villa are fully
air conditioned and each room includes
all appliances for a home-like
experience, like oven, fridge, freezer,
microwave, dishwasher, washing
machine, iron and ironing board.
All linens and towers are provided,below service is only available during the high season April - October
along with daily maid service
and complimentary wireless internet access
Optional daily breakfast 15 Euro/p.P/day

The locating of the house is perfect for your holidays with your family,as the beach, Museums,restaurants and nightlife are in walking distance,so a car is not necessary.The bus station of the Mandraki harbor is 10 min walk away and with direction to all sightseeing's on Rhodes Island.

klimatisiert mit täglichem Wäsche Service. Frühstück kann vorbestellt werden und kostet 15 Euro p.P./Tag

Die Villa ist ideal für Ihren Urlaub mit Ihrer Familie, Strand, Museen, Restaurants und Nachtleben sind zu Fuß erreichbar und ein Auto ist nicht erforderlich.Der Busbahnhof im Mandraki Hafen ist 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.


UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE,THE MEDIEVAL CITY OF RHODES

Its a joy to wander through the pedestrian-only, cobbled streets of Rhodes Towns old town, protected by 14th-century fortifications measuring 4km (2.5 miles) in length. The top attraction is the vast 14th-century Palace of the Grand Masters,housing a museum tracing the islands history.To reach it, walk up Ippoton Street, lined with ‘inns, each one representing a different country from where the knights originated. Close by, the 15th-century Knights Hospital houses the Archaeological Museum, while the nearby Byzantine Museum displays religious icons and frescoes in the former cathedral.Also take a look at the pink 16th-century Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent, built when Rhodes was controlled by the Ottomans. A short distance southwest of town, overlooking the sea, the Acropolis of Ancient Rhodes is home to the Temple of Apollo.Many cruise companies also offer a half-day excursion by bus to Lindos, a whitewashed hillside village crowned by a medieval fortress and an ancient Greek temple.

I would like to inform you that from 01/01/2024 Greece has introduced a new tourist tax for visitors that applies to all types of accommodation rentals.

The current stay-over tax that chargers guests on hotel and villas has been replaced with a new “climate crisis resilience charge”.
This means that the extra daily fee that applies to guests by arrival to the accommodation will be 15 euros per day. This amount can be paid directly to the property owner in cash.

Revenues from this charge will go into a specially created emergency fund for natural disasters.
