Rural peace in Asturias

We stayed for 9 nights at Casa Nel. Nel contacted us before we arrived with details for access by phone. The house is remote, and we had some GPS blips finding it, but in the end, it was easy enough. The house is a two-storey hand-crafted building, possibly a converted barn. It is fitted out with modern appliances, but in a sympathetic way to the building's form. There is a first-floor sitting room with wide aspect windows of the Picos. It is like being in a tree house sitting there watching the weather and the mountain. Outside, there is a well-planted mature garden around a lawn, and there is a large covered area with a BBQ, seating, table, and chairs, and outdoor washing and laundry facilities. It is very private.
