Room was great. View was nice. But considering it was a really nice hotel it had hard water in shower and the tv wasn’t a smart tv. Most people don’t want to just watch basic cable anymore. They want to log into their apps and watch their shows

The light from the heater/a/c was so bright it lit up my entire room and shone on my face all night. There were no blankets, just a sheet and a "comforter" that was a little thicker than the sheet. The blanket in the closet was like a thin throw. It just felt like I slept with only a sheet on all night. The person upstairs stomped around until almost midnight and was back up doing the same at 5am. I just didn't sleep at all and was there for a work event. Just expected more for the price of the room.

First time here. First impressions are lasting ones. The Lodge, in and of itself, is gorgeous. Right out of the chute, however, at check-in, we are dunned a $15 Amenities Fee. Really?! For what? Oh, you can get $10 of it back if you go to the restaurant (which I have little doubt would run significantly more than $10). That little lure, marketing scheme did not work for me...at all. I am weary of this world fee'ing us to death, the whole resort fee many places like Vegas, for example. Well, I got nothing for the $15 but an add-on charge to my already fairly hefty room rate. Then, the mini split would not stay on heat, and the fireplace would not stay on. Maintenance came right up, and after 20 minutes or so of head-scratching, it was determined, well, due to the way it is vented it is supposed to work that way. Not buying it. Fireplaces stay on everywhere else I've ever used them. The mini split suddenly DID start working, leaving no reason why it didn't for a long time, and suddenly did...nothing was done with it. I did not find the tv particularly user-friendly, and we have 19 of them in our facility that are. It CAN be done. On a happier note, my wife---who almost never praises a room---raved about the room, made nicer by the river inlet view. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, to me, the #1 essential in a hotel. So, we were left with a GOOD stay, not the higher marks that could have been easily earned if not for the glitches and amenity fee.

Bad mattresses! Unevenly soft (too soft), causing severe lower back pain after just one night. Others in my group complained of the same. Only a heated lower lumbar support during a long drive home helped. Everything else about the hotel was good.
