The side outer doors didn’t work on the side we were coming in and neither did the elevator. I stay every year for VSU Homecoming and it always seems to be one or the other. It’s familiar and close so I’ll be checking in again this year.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating, the facility was clean and the room was totally acceptable and very comfortable. Unfortunately, we were assigned 2 rooms on the 1st floor, my sister in one and me in the other. About 10 pm, a very loud crash disturbed my sleep and my sister's rest. Turned out a vandal attempted what appeared to be a break in by seriously smashing the outdoor window of her room. It was very distressing and frightening. She was, of course, moved to another room, police were called and reports made. Interestingly, when she & I went to look at the window from the outside, we noticed another window with similar damage on the same floor. When the gal checked us in, she asked if we minded being on the 1st floor. I thought that was an odd question. Now I know why she asked. I'm of the opinion that my sister should be reimbursed for having a experienced such a frightening and unsafe episode in your hotel.
