Gîte in the Gers countryside Parc et piscine Les Écrehous

The Domaine de Daran is a former 17th-century farmhouse set on 16 hectares of meadows and woods crossed by a stream. The 600-square-meter main building, constructed entirely of local stone, has been restored with great attention to authenticity and charm by Christine and Pascal.

All the stonework is exposed; the truss beams, interior woodwork, and window frames are made of carefully cleaned old heartwood oak.
Magnificent views of the beautiful Gers countryside stretching all the way to the Pyrenees, with a hedge of century-old oak trees lining the stream.

The “Les Écrehous” cottage, with 3 bedrooms and sleeping arrangements for 9, faces southwest; it is the farm’s former living room, featuring a fireplace equipped with a bread oven.
The very thick stone walls have high thermal mass, helping to keep the house cool in the summer.

It includes: a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, a bedroom with a bed (1.90x1.40); a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet; a bedroom with two adjoining beds (2.00 x 0.90); a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet;
a loft on the upper floor opening onto the living room with two beds (2.00 x 0.80), an attic bedroom with three beds (2.00 x 0.80), and a small toilet; for a total area of 90 m².
