Independent - accommodation in Rio Grande

Nice staff, clean, great breakfast!

Was not the cleanest place I have ever stayed. One outside door was broken and leaning on wall inside stairwell, so stairwell to inside rooms was completely accessible to anyone. We were originally given a room on the second floor and neither of the keys worked to open the door. My husband had to go down twice to try and have the keys fixed while our children and I camped out in the hallway with all of our baggage. After the second attempt to repair and keys still did not open door, we were moved to a different room on the first floor. Not a huge deal, but it was after midnight and we were very tired after driving 15 plus hours on our way back from Florida. Staff was very apologetic and kind.

Very disappointing stay. We chose this property for the pool and hot tub to wrap up our spring break trip with the family. Hot tub was broken, pool was too full of people to enjoy plus no towels. Ended up just going back to the room which was not much better, beds were hard and people ubove us were very noisy. I'll go with a different option If back in the area.
