The room was comfortable as one would expect, the bed and linen was dreamy but I mistakenly made reservations to experience a spa hotel. This turned out to be merely
False Advertising at Its Finest – This Is No “Spa Hotel”
Let’s start with the “free coffee”—a single option: Dunkin’ Donuts flavored coffee. No unflavored. When I asked, the answer was a flat “No,” and that was the end of it. No effort, no alternatives, no hospitality.
Then comes the soapless shower. Yes, the shower dispenser was empty. I let the front desk know—after my shower. Their solution? “We’ll let housekeeping know.” Thanks, but that would’ve been helpful before I had to rinse off with regret.
Desperate for a coffee to salvage the morning, I ran downstairs and found… nothing. Later, I returned to grab breakfast. Big mistake. Watery scrambled eggs and a sad excuse for yogurt packed with high fructose corn syrup, additives, and artificial everything. If you’re into ultra-processed cafeteria slop, you’re in luck.
Now let’s talk about the “spa.” What spa? It’s a regular outdoor pool and a tired little jacuzzi. That’s it. Slap the word “spa” on a sign and hope no one notices, apparently.
Ayers Hotel should rebrand as Any Motel, Now With Less Effort. There is nothing about this place that warrants the word “spa”.
