The hotel was beautiful and the views were amazing! The staff were wonderful. Everything we ate there was delicious. The only negative was the excursion staff were a little pushy trying to get us to book an excursion while we were trying to check out the complimentary snorkeling gear.

Upscale property with walk out to best snorkeling on the island. Impeccable service with warm, kind staff. Spa space was amazing-both the indoor and outdoor facilities. I had a facial, my husband a massage. Services were overpriced and average at best, but the day long use of the space made it worth it.

Es un hotel muy hermoso, en frente de una buena Ć”rea de la playa, la comida deliciosa y todo el personal muy amable ā€¦ la habitaciĆ³n que no pague la mĆ”s econĆ³mica si no algo intermedio, demasiado demasiado pequeƱa, Ć³sea prĆ”cticamente no cabe ni la maleta por quĆ© despuĆ©s de desocuparla estorba, el Ć”rea de las sillas asoleadoras igual es demasiado estrecha, quedan todas seguidas sin espacio entre turista y turista, si quieres ver una pelĆ­cula debes pagar $10us y solo estĆ”n en inglĆ©s y portuguĆ©s, una isla hispana sin idioma espaƱol, es una opiniĆ³n personal.

This resort was fantastic. If you are going to Roatan, look no further as far as accommodations are concerned. This place, is clean, luxurious, serene, in THE best location, and extremely welcoming. Truly the ultimate slice of paradise. The staff is second-to-none. We learned of an unexpected death in the family during our stay, and I cannot express how gracious the staff was in assisting us with heading home earlier than expected. I could not have imagined being treated better than we were at the Kimpton Grand Roatan. THANK YOU to everyone who works there!

Terrific!

We loved our stay at the Kimpton Grand Roatan. Stunning location. Excellent staff. A lot of fun programs like a wine and tapas tasting and yoga. Honestly, it was hard to pry ourselves away to see more of the island.

Amazing beach,Amazing employees,Miser supervisors.

Employees were amazing. Attentive and eager to please. Room were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great Dinners were also very good. Supervisors were collectively misers. At check in they tried numerous times to double charge me. I gave the bar tender $20 and asked for ice for 4 beers I had brought down to the beach, he happily started to get the ice when the Bar supervisor stopped him and told me I had to pay 2.50 per beer I drank by the beach because they sold that beer. I refused, gave him a peace of my mind then drank warm beer. His employees tried to reason with him he refused again. I the requested 4 more beer the same ones I was drinking and they told me that they didnā€™t sell that beer. Well shiver me timbers. Well we enjoyed our time at the Kimpton and 95% of the staff was impeccable. The people that run it are looking for anyway to get $2 off of you while youā€™re tipping and spending way more than that. Iā€™ve been to many hotels of the same ideology. From Bora Bora to the Ibagari down the way from the kimpton and each other hotel will have a bucket of ice down before you get your beer or wine out. That being said. The beach and the ocean in front of the kimpton are amazing. The snorkeling is second to none. I would go back. Iā€™d just be ready to be aggravated at times but people like August and the rest of the employees will make it worthwhile.

Beautiful property. Staff and all employees treated guests like royalty. Elevator wasnā€™t working in our building. Would like to see bottled water provided in each room. Would like to have a small vending snack area. Dining was expensive. Overall the best on the island.

Excellent Hotel Stay

The location of the hotel was ideal for us. The shore is at the end of the beach which makes it quieter than the other side of the beach and less people in the water. The daily resort fee was well worth it! We snorkeled every day and the hotel provided the equipment -- which made it convenient. All the employees were exceptionally nice! We ordered the breakfast with our reservation. It was a delicious buffet with a few items changed out every day for variety. The pool atmosphere is relaxing and upscale compared to other hotels that had a lot of vendors and loud party music. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
