I will never book again with Hotels.com

I did not stay there because the to check in the reception lady was rude no professional manner and I couldn't proceed for for check in. I went in parking lot and I called Hotels.com customer service , asked to get me to another Hotel but they kept balancing back and fort with no resolution, So I decided to find another Hotel with my own seach till I found one 27 miles in another City Chesburg SC. The guy on the phone told there is nothing we can do we just make the reservations.

Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel room and bathroom was very clean. Hotel lobby as well as check-in area needs an update. Bed was very uncomfortable, but very clean location of hotel was very close to all local restaurants as well as softball and baseball fields.

Broken AC, Bathroom light did not work in the first room. We were moved to a second (nonsmoking) room that reeked of weed. We went to the front desk and informed them we would not be staying. I requested a refund through hotels.com and they Microtel has not responded.

The advertisement does not equal what is actual. I reserved a 2 queen bed suite as an upgrade. I got a regular 2 queen bed room. The walls most assuredly need painting. I paid for the latest (2pm) check out yet the housekeeping knocked on my door hourly to report the time to me beginning at 10:50am. Staff here are professional and this place is quiet. It looks sketchy but no issues were encountered. I've all is OK to stay. One way in one, way out of the building. Have to be buzzed in through the front door at night.

Check in took a long time, there was an issue for some reason with credit card. Entrance door wasn't working. Corridor was in need of renovation. Room was fine, and bathroom in particular was clean. Towels were very white, which was good. Went to breakfast and couldn't get back in room, had to ask cleaner - she was lovely.

It was a quick stay. Checked in late. Lady was nice. Room wasn’t clean. Bathroom had trash in it and toilet wasn’t clean. The entire room had wet carpet for some reason. We had to check out and hit the road early. It met our need but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
