Disappointing

Hotel was very disappointing, it was supposed to be a 4* hotel which is definitely not. The only restaurant open on Friday evening was serving buffet food for 50 usd per person, bar closed at around 10pm. On the day we checked out, we wanted to have a drink before our pick up, the waiter at the bar by the pool ignored the guests, but made sure his friends were entertained and had drinks. People from outside are regular visitors, and looks like they come to sit in the bar to chat with the waiters who are their friends Smell of weed by the pool and beach area. Jacuzzi didnt work, and 3 days before checking in they sent the email that we can cancell free of charge, no offer of compensation. Even though jacuzzi looked like they have not been working g for a while. Very disappointng stay, the hotel is way expensive for what we received.

Accra is a great value, and the location and access to beaches, shopping and restaurants is top-notch. Pros: Clean rooms with very comfortable beds. We had an interior room facing the pool, so it was super quiet, and we never heard noise from other rooms or the street. However other guests who had rooms that faced the street said those were very noisy, so choose your room location wisely. The pool area is the biggest plus of this hotel, and the hotel provides beach towels, chairs on the beach, plus a swim-up bar. The hotel offers ease of access to the Boardwalk restaurants, Pebble Beach and Worthington Beach. Bus and ZR Van access to Carlisle Beach and St. Lawrence Bay also very accessible. Barbados is very safe, so we appreciated the public transportation options right outside the hotel entrance, and the many walkable restaurant and shopping options. I highly recommend Wine World too, if you are looking for better wine options than what the various area bars provide. Cons: The older rooms in the hotel need a refresh. Our room had closet doors that came off the tracks, and an unusable safe that kept erroring out even when we had the staff re-set it multiple times. Our front door didn’t lock easily - it required several pushes and re-tries to be sure that the lock engaged. This meant a few times we came back to the room and the door was essentially ajar. Good thing Barbados is safe! I would suggest booking a renovated room. Also, check-in takes WAY too long (2 hrs).

In a word shabby. The outside area and the general public area are very nice. The floor we were on was disappointing. The carpet was peeling up in numerous places. The toilet had to be flushed at least 2 times for anything to go down. The water pressure for the shower made it impossible to take a shower. A number on our room door was missing. It just shows me that they don’t care too much about the rooms that the guest stay in The best part of staying there was the Pacifica Kitchen Restaurant. It was delicious. The bar by the beach serves excellent rum punch drinks.

For the cost .. property was outdated. My room wasnt ready until 6pm. I had to request towels and a blanket. The only thing they could do for me was offer free rum punch but I dont drink. On the morning of my last day the water was shut off. No one said anything. When i called the front desk they didnt know when it would be back on.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. They could not get the TV to work in our room for 3 days. Toilet stopped working. Lock on door stopped working. Requested additional hangers several times and never received them. They were going to allow us to switch rooms but that room was worse than the one we already had. It was smaller and smelled of mildew. There was no water one morning. That meant no toilet, no shower, no brushing of teeth. They said bottled water would be available at the hotel restaurant. They provided me with one 12 ounce bottle of water. The halls were dark and dated. The rooms were sparse and also dated. Cleaning staff did a good job. Front desk did not.

The hotel is dated and is in need of TLC. The faucet in the shower needs to be replaced but it worked. Elevator leading to our floor was out of service for our entire stay; however, we were able to use elevator on the other side to access our floor. The location was ideal. Hotel is located on a beautiful, white sand Rockley beach, with boardwalk nearby and a variety of restaurants across the street in Quayside Mall plus walking distance to Champers restaurant - a must go!

Great Stay

Had a great stay. Only complaint I have, is, that the room attendant did not change the towels on the floor in the bathroom, as she was called away to a meeting.
