Second time staying here and this time was perfect. The room we were assigned this time was clean, no smell, and the receptionist was very friendly. She helped with area suggestions and made us feel welcome.

Overall the hotel was nice. Our mistake was not advising the staff of the sewage smell in our room the first day. We stayed for two nights. Upon check out, I did tell the staff member, and unfortunately, he couldn’t even guarantee that I would be placed in a different room upon my return the following week which left me disappointed with his service.

Camas muy duras e incómodas, habitación con poca higiene. Un muy mal olor como de coladera en las habitaciones (tuvimos 3 y las 3 olían mal el primer día, después el olor disminuyó; una de ellas todos los días de nuestra estancia olió muy mal). Muy descuidadas las instalaciones, no por ser un hotel “viejo” debería estar tan descuidado. Muy buena ubicación.

The first words that come to my mind would be the place was the biggest fire trap. The interior always smelled like cigarette smoke. The floors were an invitation to fall flate on your face with all the 2-3 inch risers. No way would I get into the elevator! I purchased the breakfast once - just didn't appeal to me. The best thing I can say is - the hotel staff were amazing. They were so friendly, kind and ready to help the guests.

The staff was friendly. There are no elevators, but they did offer some help with luggage. We had the luxury suite, but it did not really exude "luxury". The bathroom was dark with the mood lighting and a very large tiled tub/small pool (not a whirlpool). There were slippers, but no robes. The room itself was small (not unexpected considering we were in Rome), but it was difficult to find a place to set the luggage. There was a small sauna that we were initially excited about, but again, no robes and being all the way across the room from the bathroom made it awkward. We did love the convenient location. I would stay again, but would probably not splurge on the 'luxury' suite.
