It was quite hard to find the entrance to this guesthouse, but the lady at the reception was really nice to us and the room was really good. So except the look of the area around the building and its entrance, it was really great for the money it cost.

Comfortable,on great location with greate people!

Room was lovely, Marko (to replace Viktoria) and others were very friendly! The rooms tidy, bedding Scented, every day cleaned, in exchange towels! Location wonderful, safe-everywhere we went on foot, in 15 minutes we were up Vaticana and to Piazza di Popolo! All praise and certainly would again staying here!

Didn't like the position but it was reasonably comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Good sized, clean room but very tiny shower. A good distance from attraction but OK for bus or taxi.

Comfortable stay in spite of booking issues

This hotel was spotless and comfortable, located in a quiet, residential location within walking distance to the Vatican. Despite a warm welcome, my experience was marred somewhat by a "mistake" in the advertised booking price which management emailed me about, asking if I would confirm the booking at twice the price! Although the original booking price was honoured, this added unnecessary hassle and confusion to an otherwise pleasant stay and suggests that organisation could be improved. I would recommend this accommodation to independent couples who know the city well, as very little information was available from staff and the surrounding area was very quiet, even at the weekend and especially at night.

Odd beginning

The Domus Prati is basically a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. When we arrived from the train station,a twelve Euro taxi ride, there was no exterior sign advertising the "hotel", only the name on the buzzer list beside the front door. The building itself is a fairly modern but dingy looking apartment building. Looking through the glass of the front door we could dimly make out a small sign - Domus Prati - on the wall, hard to see as the entrance hall was very dark. We rang and rang the bell but no one appeared so we were beginning to wonder if we were going to have to look for another place for our over-night stay. Before we could make up our mind a woman walked up the entrance steps and we asked her about the B and B and she took out her cell phone and called the person who seemingly is the new manager of the place. She was at the market shopping and would be along shortly! When she arrived she apologized but said that she had never received confirmation from Expedia that we were indeed coming so that's why she wasn't there to greet us. Both women , Monica and Victoria, were very pleasant and very helpful, the room was modern, clean, and very comfortable with two beds, and the bathroom was up-to-date and sparkling clean. Monica recommended a near-by restaurant and it was a real winner. Victoria ordered our taxi for the next morning it it was there at the time requested. So after an extremely inauspicious beginning all turned out well and the price was certainly fair.

Private B&B for independent travellers

I had a lovely stay at Domus Prati. The room was spacious and clean with self service for breakfast which was ideal as I was not constrained by times. Initially I had trouble entering the B&B as there is no real reception as it is located within an apartment block. Once greeted everything was as expected.

Ottima posizione vicino al Vaticano e servita da mezzi pubblici, fermata della metropolitana Lepanto a due passi. B&b pulito offre una buona colazione con cornetti freschi e self service con buona scelta. Molto cordiale e disponibile Virginia, che trovi nella struttura fino a mezzogiorno. Utile il self check-in per chi arriva dopo mezzogiorno. Lo consiglio.
