Perfect location! We were able to walk from Termini with our bags with no problem. TONS of great restaurants on the street. Short walk to the central ancient sites! The room was clean and the AC worked great. Very cool, old lift. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Hotel Sonya before departing Rome after traveling around Italy for ten days. I chose it largely based on proximity to the Roma Termini, where we arrived from Naples and departed for FCO airport, as well as being close to attractions. Walking to the train station was the easiest option. We were able to walk to Trevi Fountain, and it is walking distance to the Colosseum and other sites. Good restaurant choices in the area, as well. As with many Rome hotels, it is an older property. The elevator is old, but not unique for the city. The website photos seem to glamorize it a little more than reality, but it is a fine property. Comfortable bed, and average sized room. Bathroom has the tiny shower that is typical in Europe, but functional.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Liked the complimentary coffee every morning. So convenient to all the major attractions and Central Station. Extremely clean. Spacious rooms. The only negative was my son’s bed was not comfortable and he had a hard time sleeping on it.
