We loved this hotel, not only for its proximity to the airport, but in its own right. Spacious and nicely appointed room with a terrace and view of the canal. An ever-changing view as the fishing fleet came and went. Rooftop pool and aperitivo bar, variety of options in the restaurant, and great customer service all round.

Overall the property was okay. They advertise themselves as a 4-star hotel, but it doesn’t look or feel that way. Check-in/check-out was swift, but the people at reception kept conversation to a bare minimum. They didn’t ask how the stay was or make small-talk. Very impersonal. The room itself was tired looking. Lots of scuffs on the walls (nothing a new coat of paint couldn’t fix), and the furniture could use a refresh. The bed was fairly hard and not overly comfortable. And the pillows were pretty flat. To top things off, a cleaning lady barged in without knocking at 7:45 in the morning, while I was standing in the bathroom. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay there again.

It is a quiet hotel near the airport. Nice rooms, helpful staff. It is in a working class area on a channel from the ocean, much like a fishing village. Lots of quaint restaurants but the hotel restaurant is quite wonderful as well.

Restaurant was so good! I would say that the shuttle service to the airport was apparently supposed to be scheduled according to the front desk, but the website did not specify. They were still able to get me and my friend on. But they also could have been a bit nicer about it when they told me :) Everything else was lovely. Pool area upstairs was beautiful but too bad it was cold and we could not use it.
