Air conditioning was inadequate, as we were there during the heatwave. System struggled to keep up. Needed room card to keep system running during the day but housecleaning kept taking it out, so the room was hot when you came back to the room. Miscommunication between staff and management. Worlds smallest showers. We are not big people and needed to turn sideways to get into the shower. If you dropped the soap, you had to open the shower door and stick your head or ass out to give enough room to bend over to retrieve the soap. Don't know what larger people do but would have been comical to watch. Staff were very nice and helpful, location and transportation was good. Breakfast was good. Overall 3.5.

Comfortable Hotel Just Outside of City Center

The location was good, walking distance to bus and metro station. Safe area to walk at night time. My room was on what they called "first floor", which required climbing up almost 30 steps with no elevator. Upon check out there was no one to help with the bags. The night shift reception staff was not willing to help answer questions and was repeatedly dismissive and rude. Day time staff were respectful and nice. Check out was a hassle since the credit card machine was broken and I didn't have cash on me. The building was old and outdated. However, air-conditioning was nice and working which was very refreshing, there was a fridge and safe in the room which was nice.

Truth

The neighborhood didn’t look so good and more so across the street with people - homeless people sleeping outside. There was some damage to the building that was noticeable from the outside. More so there was a problem with my shower door and it was never finally fixed. I was there about 5 to 6 Nights. They did apologize for the inconvenience and try to offer me another room on my last night. There is no way I would use this property ever again on my next trip to Rome.
