Albarella is a private island nestled in the lagoon south of Venice, in the Po Delta Regional Park, and is one of the most elegant and best-equipped holiday destinations on the Adriatic. It is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The island has an excellent tourist infrastructure and is dedicated to sport. Cars are not allowed on the island. The main means of transport is the bicycle and you can hire numerous different models for adults and children on site. A small electric train is also available during the day. The island is the natural habitat of fallow deer, pheasants, hares, herons, marsh harriers, little egrets and black-winged stilts. Over 4 km of free and well-equipped sandy beaches with a variety of events and programmes for children. Note: Motorhomes, caravans and motorbikes are not permitted on the island. They can be parked in the car parks at the entrance.
