Spread over three levels, this charming townhouse offers a comfortable stay with a cozy living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom, a shower room with toilet, and access to a basement utility room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, ceramic cooktop, Nespresso coffee machine, and all the necessary utensils for cooking. A dining table is available for meals, as well as a TV for relaxing moments.

On the first floor, you’ll find a bright living room with a smart TV and fiber internet. The shower room is also located on this level, featuring a sink cabinet, towel warmer, and WC.

The bedroom is located on the second floor and includes a double bed (140x190), a dressing area, and a full-length mirror.

In the basement, you’ll find a washer and dryer—perfect for extended stays.

Bed linen and towels are provided for your comfort.

There is no private parking, but you can park on surrounding streets according to city parking regulations.

The accommodation is managed by Home Rouen, available 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Please treat the home with care and respect both the space and the neighborhood. A secure bank imprint will be required to confirm your reservation and provide access instructions.

## Neighborhood

The Préfecture neighborhood in Rouen is a central and historic area known for its administrative and institutional buildings, and plays a key role in the city's political and judicial life. Located near the city center, it takes its name from the imposing 19th-century Préfecture de Seine-Maritime, which houses the local government offices and features neoclassical architecture.

The area features classical architecture, often Haussmann-style or neoclassical, with touches of modernity in recent buildings. You'll find stone-lined streets, quaint squares, and green spaces, offering a touch of calm in an otherwise lively district.

Despite its administrative nature, the Préfecture neighborhood is a bustling area visited by locals for various errands. You'll find cafés, restaurants, and shops frequently visited by civil servants, lawyers, and visitors alike.

Its proximity to historic landmarks like Rouen Cathedral and the Palais de Justice, along with its easy access to Rouen’s medieval streets, makes it a great mix of tradition and modern life.

The area is well-connected by public transport, including bus and metro lines, and offers easy access to the main roads—making it both a symbolic and practical location within Rouen’s urban landscape.

## Transit

Rouen's Préfecture district, located near the city centre and the Cathedral, is well served by public transport, offering several options for getting around in and around the city. Here are the main means of transport available nearby:

1. TEOR (Transport Est-Ouest Rouennais)
TEOR is a dedicated bus system that operates like a tramway on wheels. It crosses Rouen's main thoroughfares and links many of the city's districts. Several TEOR lines pass close to the Préfecture district: T1, T2, and T3: These three lines serve stations close to the Préfecture, such as Théâtre des Arts and Palais de Justice. They also provide quick access to other areas of Rouen and the surrounding communes.

2. Bus
Rouen has a well-developed bus network, operated by the Astuce company, which also serves the Préfecture district. Major bus routes in the vicinity include
- Route 8: Runs through the city centre and serves stops close to the Préfecture, such as Théâtre des Arts and Palais de Justice.
- Lines F1 and F2: These ‘fast’ lines link the centre of Rouen with towns in the conurbation, such as Le Grand-Quevilly and Le Petit-Quevilly.

3. Light rail
Rouen has a light metro line that crosses the city from north to south, although the station closest to the Préfecture district is not immediately adjacent. You need to go to Théâtre des Arts or Palais de Justice stations, which are a short walk from the Préfecture and provide access to line M of the light metro. This line serves the towns of Saint-Sever to the south and Boulingrin to the north of Rouen.

4. Cycling and soft transport
Rouen is also developing a network for soft mobility, such as cycling. The Préfecture district is well connected to the cycle network, and there are self-service bicycle stations nearby:

Cy'clic: Rouen offers a self-service bicycle system with several stations in the city centre. You'll find stations near the Préfecture, notably in the vicinity of the Halles du Vieux-Marché and Théâtre des Arts.

5. Taxis and VTCs
As the district is right in the centre of town, it's also easy to find taxis or use VTC services such as Uber or Bolt.

6. Pedestrian access
The Préfecture district is central and very pleasant to walk around. It is close to Rouen's main tourist attractions, such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Gros-Horloge, and the Place du Vieux-Marché, making it an excellent starting point for exploring the city on foot.

Conclusion
Rouen's Préfecture district is very well served by a network of TEOR, bus and light metro services, making it easy to get around the city. What's more, it's also great for getting around on foot or by bike, with self-service bike options and pleasant pedestrian routes.

Check-in is fully autonomous and begins at 4:00 PM for greater flexibility. Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM.

The accommodation is managed by Home Rouen, available every day from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Upon arrival, you’ll find quality bed and bath linen, one large towel per person, kitchen towels, a bath mat per bathroom, and essentials for your first night: shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, and toilet paper. A welcome kit with trash bags, sponge, and dish soap is also provided.
