The staff were EXCEPTIONAL! They were so accommodating. They helped us warming up our food. Very responsive and polite. We came for one night and ended up staying 3 nights since it was such great service. The hotel is quaint. It’s an older hotel but they have done a great job of keeping it up. We loved seeing the town and surrounding areas and would definitely visit again.

The staff were excellent. Restaurant was great. But, No provision to make a coffee in the room or on the premises was annoying as it was very difficult to find anything open in the village to get a coffee. Shower head was stable and water flooded the floor. Also, most of the people in the hotel were elderly and getting over a steep bath to have a shower is a health hazard.

From the outside the hotel looks great. We stayed at the upper floor. Room was small and not very nice looking. The douche cabinet was placed inside the room. The toilet, in its own ”room” was very tiny. We had a meal in the ”brasserie” and that was very mediocre. My steak, ordered to medium/rare, was completely overcooked and was sent back. The new steak was cocked to expectation, but was very tough. Certainly not very good quality of the meat. Also breakfast was very mediocre and the coffee machine was not working.

Front desk staff were excellent. Dining room (bistro) staff made for a shockingly comical visit. Over half an hour of being ignored. Got a bottle of wine … finished half of it before our food order was given by me to them (they were standing around the bar waiting for something to happen) - I had to get up, go over and tell them (5 of them) what we wanted. Interesting location - not in the centre of Alsace wine area but convenient to use as a base if you have a car. Parking - across street on an (occasionally) busy corner.

Das Hotel ist von aussen gesehen in in einem sehr guten Zustand und hat den typisch französischen Charakter behalten. Die Zimmer hingegen sind eher spartanisch eingerichtet. Wir haben beide Restaurants die zu diesem Hotel gehören ausprobiert. Zuerst die Brasserie bei der nur die Vorspeise gut war, weil man ja hier nicht viel fasch machen kann. Der Hauptgang jedoch Pastetchen gefüllt mit Poulet und Champignon an einer klebrigen undefinierbaren Sauce konnte man nur mit Hunger und Widerwillen essen. Eine Entäuschung wie ich Sie im Elsass noch nie erlebt habe. Das zweite Restaurant ( Gourand ) war nur viel nicht vile besser. Reh an einer guten Sauce, beilagen nur aus dem Wasser gezogen. Preis viel zu teuer für das gebotene.
