It's not idyllic

The room was fair in appearance. It has a terribly gross smell, like urine. I left the door open and opened the windows to no avail. The furniture is very old and I didnt use it for fer of transferring of smell. The door to bathroom was frayed all along the bottom. The faucet is degraded metal. The air conditioner just makes the air moist and it is very loud sometimes, like the fan is overworking. The television turns on by itself in the middle of the night a few times each night. I came home and it was on one day as well. Although I had used DND sign for the 1st two days of my 5 night stay, I never saw a housekeeper, received new towels or new coffee for my entire stay. The phone had yellowy brown stuff on it that I wiped off with a clorox wipe. The check in staff was polite and friendly. The location was necessary for purposes of my trip. The shower was clean and worked well. Bathroom was like a 'clean gas station'. Although is it cheaper, it is overpriced for what you get.

My room at this hotel had one of the best showers I have ever used in all of my years of travelling...not enough hangars in the closet...freezer but no way to make ice...very comfortable bed and pillows...excellent location...I will definitely stay there again, also because it was affordable. We did not try the restaurant OR the pool - would be helpful to find information on what is available to a guest by leaving a brochure or something in the room. I rated as average the things that I had no experience with...See you next time, Royal Palm.

The room definitely has more of a motel vibe than hotel. There was a mildew smell and we saw a cockroach in the morning. The front desk was overwhelmed with check ins. Need to staff more people during busy (tournament) weekends.
