Air con in the room was noisy, even when switched off. Unable to order room service by either QR code or phone, so had to go to reception. No pen in room to order breakfast. Just a poor customer experience generally, though food was good and staff were friendly.

From.original booking was a pain booked for 15th nov. Systerm gliched changing to 16th nov. After a week of back and forth hotels.com.& holiday inn eventually changed to original required date. At no extra charge.on arrival.at holiday inn runcorn was greated by a car park full of.potholes.. upon checking in was told there was an afditional fee to pay. Nope there wasnt. Given room.326. Upon getting in looked like they gave us the cheapest room in the hotel. Stains on the walls around the toilet. Was 1st thing we noticed. Upon entering the rest.of room. Noticed massive stains on the carpet. Holes in the wall. Light fittings hanging loose. ..bed was very uncomfortable old fashioned on legs and casters. Upon laying on the bed you felt like it was gonna fall apart. Sofa bed was a single.bed. not a sofa bed as stated by hotel which was just as uncomfortable as the main bed. Pillows.very lumpy. Rips on.the sides of the bed. And then at 10.30pm on the coldest night of the year the heater and radiators in the room didnt.work. upon leaving on sunday was again told there was an additional fee to pay. Worst stay and experience we.ve had and probably last time.we will.use holiday inn and.hotels.com

Staff went above and beyond they were amazing with the children setting the table for breakfast with there lapland uk invitations and cooking them special rudolf pancakes and a christmas tree they made it such a magical morning
