initially the room temperature were cool enough, 21ĀŗC. When I complained, the receiption promised to send me the technician by tomorrow. When I insist, she promised to find one soon who never come till over an hour. When I chased, she suddenly ask the kitchen man to came my room who finally overcome temporary. Tomorrow morning I complained cause of insomnia due to cold in the room. Finally she called a man to brought the heater fan to overcome. Basically the receiptionist was reluctant to do better services.

Rustic Hotel in the Heart of Nature

Great place to stay, rustic motel approx 20 minutes drive from town. You are in the middle of nature! Lots of hiking trails surround you- fabulous for outdoors people. You get free wifi, rooms are small but clean. Walls are paper thin though and you can hear your neighbours. Buffet breakfast always has different options every morning and a shop is onsite open till 930pm.

Comfortable hotel in a beautiful area

We stayed in the hotel part of the resort, but there is a hostel and log cabins available also. Ideal centre for exploring beautiful Lapland. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff. Food in cafe area good. Try to get a room facing North so you can see the aurora at night. Would stay again.

Nice and friendly hotel and activities staff

A lot to do and to see here at the Fell Centre Kiilopaa. Yoo can do everything here ie ski, snow shoeing, walk to Urho Kekkosen National Park. Ski teachers are very helpful. Our good experience for first time skiers.

Backcountry skiing & nature mekka

This hotel is located close to a natural park. It offers access to 200km back country skiing tracks. We did an amazing short winter hike to a peak that offered an amazing view of the surrounding winter wonder land. The hotel is a good base for an active stay. It offers buffets for lunch& dinner and also few a la carte menus. Rooms are good basic standard, staff is friendly. Tipp: we only stayed there for one night On Thursday. On thus weekday the a la carte restaurant& the sauna with bathing option in the -1 degree cold water are closed, so maybe choose another day.

Ok, but would not come back

Not super cozy or modern rooms, but acceptable. It it in the middle of no-where, so don't count on eating anywhere else than their restaurant (spending 25-35 euro a day). Internet was down for many hours on end. The nature around is nice, and the trails well-maintained in winter. We moved to a private cottage afterwards which was a much better experience at the same price as the hotel.

One hotel between you and nature

Next door to national park, you can go skiing and snow walking everyday, don't need to worry about the gears because Fell centre offers rentals. Oh did I forgot to mention the breakfast buffet got everything? Staff were friendly and helpful! Bonus points: The burgers are delicious, try order one.

I went there in winter. The area lets you feel peaceful. Free courses won't let you feel bored even stay for a week. But do not expect food much, not value for money.

Perfect nature getaway

Ski, snowshoe, and nature lover's paradise away from big tourist crowds and at the gateway to a national park. Staff were very accommodating and helpful, and loved that guide-led activities were offered on a daily basis. Rental prices were very reasonable as well. Great experience overall and got some good nighttime photos since this is removed enough from light pollution.
