it was just ok for the price

The hotel was ok. It was $350 for the night. for that price, I would expect a parking garage. there was no parking other than valet. there was no coffee in the morning. the room was small. it was just ok.

It was 8 blocks away from the convention center. I have to walk each way, and a couple of the streets at late afternoon had many homeless sleeping on the side walks. Next morning the city had trucks and people cleaning up the messes.

I chose to stay in the area because it's close to the government office I needed to visit in next day. It is unfortunate that the area around the hotel didn't look safe. It is not the fault of the hotel. I arrived close to dusk. There were homeless wondering on the streets, and walking across the road ignoring the traffic lights. Hotel valet parking is expensive, however, since nearly public parking limits max 24hr, you may be better off using valet parking. The service desk wasn't helpful when I looked for a copier/printer to print some documents.

Hotel and staff were amazing. The area outside was not safe, we witnessed a stabbing while we had dinner in the restaurant. Not surprising bc Sacramento has gotten so bad but still pretty shocking to witness.
