You also have access to an adult 10 speed mountain bike for your enjoyment (deposit required). It's our son's bike. Please take care of it as your own.

Beautiful four-story home with fantastic views of the coliseum and the castles all along the top of the mountain ridge. Our host was extremely helpful and accommodating. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Lots to see within walking distance if you're able to walk up hills. A very beautiful area. Enjoyed our stay.

An absolute great find, going out of the beach area inland to this great place of Sagunto. There are lots of stairs in the house but you get used to them. Really spacious, clean apartment with a great host in Francois who collected us from the train station. Very friendly and with great conversation about other areas of Spain to visit, we will be visiting some of them! Lots to see in the local area, bus to the beach was only 1.45, bus stop about 7 minutes walk away. The apartment is central to everything that you can possibly need, don't forget to bring sensible shoes for the walk up to the castle! Be sure to visit Francois restaurant Le Fou and there is a lovely little wine bar in Plaza Mayor, most restaurants only open Thursday to Sunday though. We made plenty of use of the rooftop area although mostly after late pm, it was very hot! If we are ever in the area again, we will return, thanks for the hospitality!

Clean, well located property with unparalleled hospitality!
We loved our stay with our two young children. The property is well located within walking distance to many sights, stores, and tapas bars. Francois was the best host we have had in our many travels. He made our stay a great one, and we were lucky enough to dine in his restaurant, which was also delicious. He was a most gracious host and offered many great suggestions and went the extra mile for whatever we needed. Sagunto is absolutely lovely! We will be back, and would not hesitate to book this property again. A short train ride to Valencia, but plenty to do and see right in town. If you are a foodie, there is a Michelin star restaurant 10 steps from your front door at this property. Sadly it was not open the days we were there - but there was no lack of great food a Le Fou and the rest of Francois’ recommendations. I highly recommend dining on the beautiful rooftop terrace at the property during your stay as well. The views are amazing!

Sagunto was the highlight!!!
François was the perfect host!! He lives near by and we saw him in town while we wondered. The home was very clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable, plenty of room for clothes and the shutters blacked out the room for sleeping. Kitchen was perfectly stocked and we used it to enjoy our Wednesday market finds. The living room sofa was very comfortable after a long day.The roof top terrace did not disappoint and was the best part. Enjoyed the amazing views and sunsets with a beer and wine. The property was everything and more!
The town is completely walkable to bars, restaurants and grocery stores. 800m walk to the train that we took to Valencia.
We preferred staying in Sagunto for all the history, beauty and dining. Arrels (Michelin star) was at the end of our block as well as ALL the amazing restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the property. All the food was wonderful and so reasonably priced. Well, Arrels is fine dinning and very much worth the price, make sure to make reservations ahead of time. We did take a taxi to the bottom of the castle as that area is steep walking, to save our legs, lol. There was a tourist info center in the square that was extremely helpful, but it does not feel touristy like Valencia.
Thank you François! We had a perfect week!! The property and town made it a trip of a lifetime.
Much appreciation to you friend!!
Mary and Doug
EXCELLENT!!! The house was super CLEAN with many thoughtful touches (hello cute sitting spaces, conveniently placed mirrors, multiple desks to work, smart light at the home's entrance, pamphlet display, etc, etc, etc). Tons of CHARM with MODERN COMFORTS throughout. The kitchen was very well appointed, the bathroom was perfect (it even had a heater!!!), and the 2nd floor bed was extremely comfortable. The ROOFTOP is SPECTACULAR!!! We needed a car because of the location, but plenty of public parking is only about a 7 minute walk. The area is SAFE and extremely quiet (most people seem retired) so we spent a lot of time in Valencia, which is livelier and a very easy drive. The host is ATTENTIVE, KIND, and HELPFUL! I would 1000% stay again!!!

lovely stay in old Sagunto
Very charming house in the center of the old town, location was fantastic! Our family of four enjoyed the charm of this traditional space, nice lighting and wonderful views, especially from the rooftop terrace. The layout is over three floors, beds very comfortable, kitchen well stocked for dining in. Fair warning- early August was hot! Only the upstairs kitchen/dining/living room area was air conditioned, not the bedrooms. We found the lower level bedroom very comfortable with fans running, but the middle floor bedroom a bit too hot to sleep, so our younger kids slept comfortably on the fold down couch on the upper floor (with the a/c) Just a consideration for four adults.. Francois is a wonderful host, very quick to respond and he gave us information about local events and where to find groceries, dine, etc. Please also consider dining at his restaurant, Le Fou- it was fantastic, on a beautiful terrace just below the roman theater. Dinner there was a real highlight of our 2 weeks in Spain! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Charming cottage as described with modern convenience alongside ancient charm, in a great location in the old town.
The host Francois was very helpful and responsive. Some plumbing issues in the second bathroom required fixing which he arranged. Francois also helped arrange transport for us.
It was very warm weather and the air conditioner in the upstairs kitchen/living area and the fans in the 2 bedrooms were much appreciated. The rooftop deck was wonderful in the mornings and evenings.
Thank you again Francois!

Charming traditional house in a beautiful place
Amazing views across the historical area of the town and beyond from the roof terrace. We wanted a peaceful haven to return to after being in Valencia almost daily for a sporting event and this lovely house was perfect for that. It was quaint, comfortable and quiet but within minutes of lively coffee shops and restaurants. Francois was extremely helpful and it's very clear he wants his guests to have the best stay possible. If you get the chance, go to his restaurant for an evening meal - simply fantastic.

Our New Favorite Place
Not only is Sagunto a charming and beautiful town, but this home in the middle of it was one of the best places we've ever stayed. Our family spent most of the time on the terrace enjoying the amazing vista and incredible weather. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided and it's just a short walk to the town square where various shops and markets provide you with everything you want. It's also only a 10 minute walk to the train which can quickly get you into Valencia for day trips to the city. François was quite literally the best host we've ever had and he was always available for any questions and concerns. Our family has moved on to other parts of Spain, but Sagunto, and this house specifically, will fondly be remembered as our first and best introduction to the country.

First trip to Sagunto
We had a great experience. The property was a great place to stay. It's in the middle of the old two and was easy to walk for shopping, restaurants and tourist attractions. We found a museum, Roman Theater and Roman fortress. Most of these were unexpected and great places to visit. We hope to come back one day.

Perfect location and ver clean
The interior furnishings are nearly new. The host met us upon arrival and showed us everything we needed to know plus gave me a tour around town. He showed me where to park. Parking is about a 10 minute walk and turned out to be very safe and easy, it’s in a dirt lot next to the riverbed. There are lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The castle and Roman theater is just a few minutes walk up the hill.

We had a wonderful week in Sagunto. The stay is great in the old Jewish neighborhood with a beautiful view from the roof terrace. The contact with Fransico was fine. With questions he responded immediately and was always ready. His wife and he were very hospitable.
