Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out.

Endroit très agréable,très bucolique tout près de l’embouchure de l’Ay qui ouvre une baie marécageuse,juste magique ! Nous étions logés dans une chambre très spacieuse,néanmoins équipée d’une salle de bain esthétique mais peu fonctionnelle : en effet la baignoire « à l’ancienne » interdit de prendre une douche sans transformer la pièce en piscine ! Petit déjeuner très copieux,table du dîner très convenable,dans un espace qui aspire à l’intimité et au raffinement. Week-end très agréable dans son ensemble dans cet établissement.

Only been here for a few hours so far but already managed to sample the pool, beach, shops and restaurants, as they’re all so close by! It’s really quiet, despite it being Saturday night and so close to town, but the layout of the apartments has been done so you can hear the sea and not much else. Very welcoming, helpful service - both of us disabled, so baggage taken from our car to our room when it was pouring with rain, was a good start. Restored farmstead in beautiful Normandy

La Ferme des Mares is a beautifully restored farmstead run by a young couple, the husband being a very gifted chef.The location feels remote, but is actually close to beaches and steps away from lovely walking paths through the salt marshes.My only somewhat negative comment is that the breakfast is a bit sparse for the price.
