Idylic Hideaway

Lovely, clean, spacious, well appointed, original property with an amazing pool and leisure facilities in the middle of gorgeous countryside, yet only 5 mins from the local village and 15mins from a larger town. Easy access to Carcassone and the south coast is only 90mims away. Great hosts. Highly recommend this Gîte to anyone wanting an escape to the country (but with easy access to towns and facilities). We loved it, thank you!

Lovely home

We had a very pleasant week at Gîte de Francouly. Jérôme is a communicative and accommodating host. The home is well equipped and spotless. The pool was delightful and the rural location perfect for a relaxing holiday. Amenities are short drives away and there are plenty of places to explore. We particularly enjoyed Saissac.

Lovely house in a picturesque location. Nice, quiet and rural. The house is charming, very spacious and well appointed. Plenty of grounds outside to run and play around in. The pool is to the side of the house and is fully fenced and gated for security. The shallow end is quite deep, our 6 year old couldn't touch the floor; but apart from that it was nice and warm and perfectly clear. With some lovely shady trees to the higher terrace above the pool, to escape the hot afternoon sun under. Jerome and Genevieve were very friendly, attentive and helpful which helped make our stay excellent. Saint Papoul is a lovely little village and the Abbey is well worth a visit. Lots to do in the local area excepting Carcassonne: Castelnaudery, Chateau du Saissac is just down the road, Canal du Midi, Bram, Mirepoix, Fanjeaux, Gouffre de Cabrespine, moulin a papier at Brousses - make your own paper, Chateau de Pennautier (great kids play area under the trees by the carpark), or just into the Montagne Noir. Or further afield to Narbonne and its beaches. Overall highly recommended

Très beau séjour dans une belle propriété au calme , les hôtes sont charmants, très réactifs, discrets et attentifs aux besoins des vacanciers. Lieu adapté pour des vacances en famille et entre amis. Maison assez isolée (15min Castelnaudary), boulangerie et épicerie de base dans Saint-Papoul. Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil!

Nature et tranquillité

La maison est très grande avec des plafonds très hauts. On s’y sent bien. La piscine est de taille très correcte pour enchaîner les longueurs. Le calme nous a accompagné tout au long de notre séjour. Les propriétaires ont fait preuve d’une discrétion extrême.

Un accueil très agréable par les propriétaires y compris des petites attentions à base de spécialités locales. Le gîte est spacieux, bien équipé, confortable tant au niveau de la literie que des assises. Tout est là pour s’amuser en famille dont la grande piscine avec plusieurs hauteurs dans le bassin ce qui est sympa pour jouer, agréable aussi pour nager, pour se prélasser sur les transats et jeux aquatiques! De nombreux jeux de sociétés sont également à notre disposition. Les propriétaires nous ont recommandé quelques bonnes adresses gourmandes :-) Un séjour sans fausses notes ! Encore merci.

Gîte très agréable et décoré avec goût. Charmant jardin très calme avec une grande piscine très agréable. Les propriétaires sont très disponible et gentil. Petit cadeau de bienvenu, très gentille attention. Je recommande cette location.

Geschmackvolles und toll ausgestattetes Haus

Wir haben hier zwei sehr schöne Wochen mit unseren beiden Kindern verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Man findet alles vor, was man braucht, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Der Pool ist sehr gross und sauber und es stehen genügend Liegen, ein Sonnenschirm und ein paar Schattenplätze zur Verfügung. Es gibt sogar ein Poolhaus, in dem man einige Luftmatratzen etc. findet sowie eine Dusche und Toilette. Die Terrasse mit überdachtem Essplatz ist ok, allerdings blickt man auf einen großen Bauschuppen mit Plane und es gibt keinen angelegten Garten. Das wäre vielleicht das einzige Manko, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Die Eigentümer leben direkt nebenan, allerdings haben wir sie fast nie gesehen. Sie sind sehr nett und immer bemüht, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Schön war, dass man sie jederzeit kontaktieren kann, falls man Fragen hat oder Hilfe benötigt, aber ansonsten doch das Gefühl hat, alleine zu sein. Das Haus liegt recht abgelegen. Direkt in Saint Papoul gibt es einen tollen Bäcker und einen Tante Emma Laden, in dem man eigentlich (fast) alles bekommen kann. Ansonsten gibt es in Castelnaudary auch einen riesigen Supermarkt etc. Man kann von hier tolle Ausflüge unternehmen, muss allerdings immer etwas Fahrzeit einplanen. Also zusammengefasst eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Wenn wir mal wieder in die Gegend kommen, werden wir hier wieder gerne wohnen.

Vacances familiales dans un cadre idyllique

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances en famille dans ce gite très agréable, bien agencé, bien décoré et bien equipé. Nous étions à 8 et nous avions largement de la place pour vivre à notre aise. La piscine est très grande et très agréable amenagée de nombreux transats et bains de soleil. Les propriétaires nous laissent de quoi amuser les enfants avec des bouées et jeux gonflables qui ravissent les petits. À notre arrivée nous avons été très bien accueillis avec un petit cadeau de bienvenue et nous tenions à remercier M et Mme Baysset également pour les services rendus à notre arrivée. Le gîte était vraiment nikel et très propre. Tout est fait pour qu'on se sente vraiment les bienvenus. Les alentours sont très riches : visite de Carcassonne, balade en vélo le long du canal du midi,.... Nous recommandons vivement cette location.
