Quiet Chalet with Garden

This small chalet in Turquestein-Blancrupt features comfortable bedrooms and a beautiful location, at the foothills of the Massif du Donon (14 km). It is ideal for a family and your pet is also welcome, provided you keep a close eye on keeping everything tidy. The elevated terrace is a great place to relax. The Donon is a mountain with an orientation table at its highest point (1009 m) with panoramic views of the pine forests. You are staying here in a perfect hiking environment with more than 700 km of marked trails! In Abreschviller (20 km) there is a swimming lake with a small beach. For a larger lake with water sports facilities, go to the recreational lake near Pierre Percée (36 km). A bakery and supermarket can be found in St Quirin. For larger supermarkets and more facilities go to Sarrebourg (29 km). The simple but practical chalet is located in a quiet, nature-rich spot. It features a large garden with a path to a mountain stream that flows about 50 m from the house. The perfect place for a picnic. The children have fun building dams here.

Great place to stay as a couple with a dog. Very small place, but it is very well equipped. When the sun is out, you can enjoy the big south-facing terrace, when it gets cold you can heat the wood burner (it gets very hot very quickly). Our dog had fun in the big garden, with the neighbouring dogs and the private access to the brook under the nearby hill, as well as all the smells of wildlife (wild boars foraging in the neighbouring woodland, occasional deer viewings). Plenty of walks all around, from the Saint Quirin hiking area starting right across the street to the Donon hike at a 20-minute drive, Lac de Pierre Percée and many more tourist attractions either with or without dogs. Shopping requires a short drive, as well as restaurant visits. The only downsides for us were the mattress on the big bed (needs replacing, not for weak backs) and the fact that the traditional oven was (temporarily) out of order.

Rustikales Haus mit großem und umzäunten Garten. Sehr ruhig, nur am Wochenende kommen recht viele Motorrad-Ausflügler vorbei. Hinweis zum TV: Er hat einen SCART-Anschluss für DVD-Player, kein HDMI. Falls man einen DVD-Player mitbringen und anschließen möchte. Sehr schöne Gegend zum Wandern, auch mit Hund. Die pittoresken Elsass-Dörfer und Weingüter findet man hier allerdings nicht. Sie sind weiter südlich im Großraum Colmar angesiedelt.

Plongée en pleine nature

Du premier au dernier jours, promenades à quatre avec les deux chiens et déjeuners dans les petits restaurants du coin ou au chalet. Nous avons pu profiter d'une météo variée mais sans pluie, dont 3 jours de ciel bleu et de givre magnifiques. Un peu de neige et c'était vraiment parfait. Chalet rustique mais douillet et chaleureux. Des cerfs la nuit dans la pelouse...Le silence.

Wir waren richtig happy mit unserem "kleinen" Feriendomizil. Komplett aus gestattete Küche (zwar kein Geschirrspüler, aber das ist/war uns auch gar nicht wichtig). Gemütliches Holzhüttenambiente inkl. toller Terrasse. Schöner Garten mit eigenem schmalen Zugang zur weißen Saar, schöner Garten in dem wir unseren Hund dank Kompletteinzäunung frei springen lassen konnten. Unkompliziertes Handling (z.B Schlüsselübergabedirekt vor Ort, Erklärung der wichtigsten Dinge - > Konversation nur in französischer Sprache) Kleiner Tipp am Rande: an Anti Zecken-Mittel, Zeckenkarte o.ä. einpacken bzw. FSME-Impfung nicht vergessen, da die sehr waldreichen Umgebung nach unserer Erfahrung sehr zeckenreich ist! Unser Fazit: einschränkungsfreie Empfehlung!

Ik kom hier nu al 3 jaar 1 a 2x per jaar. Zie ook mijn eerdere reviews. Voor mij en mijn hond is dit de perfecte plek. Het chalet heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, de veranda heeft heel veel zon, bij teveel zon is er voldoende schaduw en ook afkoeling bij het riviertje. Mijn hond geniet erg van de ruime en goed omheinde tuin en samen genieten we van de prachtige wandelingen in de bossen. Die starten tegenover het huisje of ik rijd in 5 minuten naar la Grande Basse waar vandaan ook hele mooie wandelingen te maken zijn, bv route 2 (geel) waarbij je onderweg een fantastisch uitzicht hebt. Verder is het heel rustig. Ik hou ervan!

Het huisje is basic maar alles is er wat we nodig hadden.. Daarnaast heerlijk relaxen op de veranda met een gezellige picknicktafel en evt stoelen voor als je wat fijner wilt zitten. We hebben vooral genoten van de grote tuin waar onze hond heerlijk kon rennen en snuffelen. Waar we letterlijk een balletje in konden gooien. Helemaal veilig omheind. Af en toe vriendelijk snuffel contact met de buurhonden. Ook het beekje is ontzettend leuk om af te koelen en in te spelen. In de omgeving veel wandelingen te maken. De toeristische punten zijn toch wel wat verder weg. Voor ons is dit huisje echt een aanrader.. Als je een hond hebt, niet al te veel luxe hoeft, van wandelen en rust houdt, dan is dit de perfecte plek.

Nettes, einfaches Häuschen abseits vom Trubel des Alltags! Großes, eingezäuntes Grundstück und endlose Wanderwege in wunderschöner Natur. Die Dusche und die Terasse bräuchten mal wieder etwas Zuwendung, aber wir würden wiederkommen!

Schoon en netjes, deze chalet voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen, De kinderen vonden het nabijgelegen zwemmeer in Abreschviller geweldig, We hadden een fantastische tijd met het bouwen van dammen bij de stroom, Perfect voor een gezinsuitje, hoewel het een beetje afgelegen is als je op zoek bent naar het nachtleven
