Yes another poor stay - never again !

Have stopped a couple of times as the hotel comes up usually top of the list, price average. Made the mistake of hoping 1 decent room in in a number of stays I would be lucky again, nope ! Last stay was the last one for me, again fire alarms, no apology, no room checks on guests. On this occasion the alarm had gone off again and guests evacuated. After we returned I passed an elderly couple still trying to get out with no help! Lucky it was a false alarm. The room, had to laugh if was designed to be retro it would have been interesting. It appeared to be a room which had been locked away for 30 years or used by a number of staff when not in use. Cables running under the asking door to power the next door room. Staining, shabby, old and just very poor. I have slept in better tents. Breakfast below average Hotel require a card as security even if you have paid by the app and have your details ; only hotel I have been to which it is not an option it’s compulsory. Hotels.com should make their customers aware of this requirement.

Amazing staff, room was clean and met my expectations, and the location is great. The restaurant and its food was great however breakfast could have had more of a variety each day. Also there was a fire alarm that went off multiple days I was there apparently it was a known issue. I would still stay again simply because the staff was so great and it is in a great location.

Needs some attention

Rooms really dated. Bathroom in bad condition with old shower. Walls very thin, heard everything from my neighbours. I was woken up twice during the night by really loud noise coming from the bathroom. Then was woken at 6am by the same noise which was prolonged. Could be water hammer?

I usually like this hotel, but there were problems this time. No parking available when I arrived and it took about half an hour and much hassle to get parked, though the staff did resolve it. I was given an "accessible" room as it was all that was left. The shower was everything but accessible. Low level with nothing to hold it when it was running so you had to put it under your foot. It was a wet room concept without a camber, so it flooded the whole bathroom and it didn't drain away so that remained soaked for my whole stay. Staff are very nice but the reception is understaffed so there are always long waits there.

Needs a refurb but ok for money

Hotel a bit tired. In need of a refurbishment but clean and comfortable for the money. Staff very helpful. Unfortunately people in room above decided to have a party. No phone in room to ring reception. Had to go down and complain. Staff went to the room to tell them to be quiet. Noise continued until 3 in the morning!! Staff in the morning offered a free drink in the restaurant, not really compensation for no sleep!!
