About this property

Cozy Basement Retreat • King Bed • Near TRAX

About this space
Enjoy a comfortable, centrally located stay just 4 minutes from Sugar House and 10 minutes from downtown. This spacious 1-bedroom basement rental features a king bed, full kitchen, dedicated workspace, and two mini-splits for guest-controlled heating and cooling. Unwind in the newly remodeled bathroom with a shower/tub combo or enjoy the shared backyard. Easy access to transit and about 35 minutes from SLC’s famous ski resorts.

The space
This comfortable 1-bedroom basement rental is designed to feel like a home away from home. The bedroom features a king-size bed and its own mini-split, while a second mini-split in the living, dining, and kitchen area gives you control over the temperature throughout your stay.

The full kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, and the dedicated workspace with an adjustable-height desk and office chair makes it easy to work remotely. The newly remodeled, larger bathroom features a shower/tub combination.

The rental is completely separate from the upstairs unit. Each unit has its own living space and a locking interior door leading to a shared laundry/common area, so guests cannot access the other rental.

Outside, enjoy the fully fenced shared backyard with seasonal seating and a grill. Whether you're visiting Salt Lake City for skiing, work, or exploring the city, you'll have a comfortable place to relax and recharge.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire basement rental through a separate entrance located in the backyard.

The bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living space, and workspace are exclusively yours during your stay. The laundry/common area and backyard are shared with guests staying in the upstairs rental. Each rental has its own locking interior door leading to the shared laundry area, and neither unit can access the other’s living space.

The backyard is fully fenced and includes shared outdoor seating during the warmer months and a grill available year-round.

Other things to note
This is a basement rental with a separate entrance and private living space. There is another rental on the main level of the home, so you may occasionally hear normal household noise from guests above.

The laundry/common area and backyard are shared between the two rentals. Each unit is secured by its own locking interior door, so guests do not have access to the other rental.

Two mini-splits—one in the bedroom and one in the main living area—allow you to control the heating and cooling throughout your space.

Neighborhood highlights
Located in a quiet, centrally located neighborhood just minutes from Sugar House, this rental is a great home base for exploring Salt Lake City. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and shopping are all nearby, with the heart of Sugar House about a 4-minute drive away. Downtown Salt Lake City is about 10 minutes away, and the Wasatch Mountains and several world-famous ski resorts are approximately 35 minutes away.

Getting around
Getting around is easy whether you’re driving or using public transit. Guests have a designated parking space on the left side of the driveway, directly in front of the garage.

The S-Line streetcar is about a 3-minute walk away and connects with the TRAX light rail system for convenient access around the Salt Lake Valley and into downtown.

The heart of Sugar House is about a 4-minute drive, downtown Salt Lake City is about 10 minutes away, and Salt Lake City International Airport is approximately 15 minutes away. The major Cottonwood Canyon ski resorts are about 35 minutes away, depending on traffic and weather.

Overall great space. Management super easy to work with. Because it’s a basement unit without its own HVAC, temperature control may be problematic for some.

Very well appointed apartment, competitively priced, close to UTA public transportation, and only 15 minute drive from SLC airport. Hosts were terrific and stayed in touch with us to ensure that we had everything we needed. Found Dee's Family Restaurant within walking distance and had great breakfasts there every morning of our stay. Highly recommend this apartment.

Great rental

This property was a great home base for us as we explored Salt Lake City. It was fastidiously clean and Tyler was very communicative. Since it’s a basement apartment, you can hear the ambient noise from the occupants of the house—not at all a problem for us, as they were very quiet, but good to know for people who may be more sensitive to noise. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again!

We felt pampered

The apartment is fully appointed. The hosts were very responsive. We used the mattress for a second bed, which worked fantastically. It was so wonderful to be able to come back to the ease of everything taken care of.

Charming place and centrally located

It's a cute property centrally located. It had everything we needed for the weekend. There was more noise from upstairs than we thought there would be. It rained most for most of our visit, so we didn't get to explore as much of the city as we wanted. Tyler and Shawn were very responsive hosts!

Convenientbut a few things?

Location was very convenient for golf locations I played. Downtown very easy to get to. Food very close by both groceries and restaurants. Bathroom a little small as well as bed. Warned about noise during week at 10 pm. Seemed strict to us and we are not party types.
