The property may be ideal for casual activists. It is not suitable for family and businessmen. My family of 4 stayed there for 4 nights after we paid online before the stay. Upon checked-in at their other property (Das Grune Bio Hotel Zur Post) which was located about 400 metres away , we humbly asked for an iron and an ironing board from the reception. We were shocked when the receptionist told us that they don't provide iron and that we need to come over to their main hotel (Das Grune Bio Hotel Zur Post) which was about 400 metres away if we want to iron our clothes and have breakfast. We told them that we don't need breakfast. However, we had to carry our clothes and brought it over to their main hotel (Das Grune Bio Hotel) for 4 consecutive days to iron our clothes. It was really a shocking experience to my family throughout our many years of travelling around Europe and other parts of the world. We had no choice but had to do it because the stay had been paid for prior to our arrival. We will be more wary of such a horrible accommodation and its ridiculous arrangement in future. They should have been more sensible and understanding of customer's need. The staff may be nice but not so helpful to look into our simple need. They could have lend us the iron and ironing board which was not used by anybody during the 4 days. Horrible service culture. Not worth the value paid.

Decent place let down by a few flaws

Decent place in a well-connected location; rooms are large. Service was professional overall. Despite specifically booking this hotel because they advertise a double-bed room I in fact had 2 single beds in my room (and at 2 metres tall this was not ideal). I also had the cleaning staff wake me up at 8.30 on the day I was checking out by coming into my room. The staff at check out did not seem to be remotely concerned by either of these things.

We choose the villa for our trip to Salzburg because of the parking. The villa is about 150 meter away from the hotel where the check in/out is located. The villa is about 1.5 mile away from the old city of Salzburg, a solid walk of 20-25 minutes. Our room is at the third floor, so have to carry the bags up the stairs. The room is big enough for three of us, bathroom is a nice size. The room is clean. Because the room has no air condition, and the two days we were there , the temperature as about 30C, we have to open all the widows to cool down the room in the evening, and road in front of the house is the major road to the old town with a lot of traffic, so it was very noise.

The room was nice and clean and located closely to downtown, however, 35+ in the heat was almost unbearable at night because there is no air conditioning. I would stay there again if it were cooler but NOT of it were hot.

Salzburg and Steigl

Very nice space. The check-in was off-site but very close. The coffee and bread cafe across the street was great. The heart of Salzburg was close for bikes (rented from the check-in front desk), but a bit far of a walk. Do not miss Steigl brewery just back a few streets (although google maps had the entrance on the wrong side) and Augustiner is fantastic too.

Lovely, big, spacious room

The hotel is just outside of the city centre, very convenient if you want to avoid city accommodation prices. It's a short journey into the city (5 stops and the bus stops outside the hotel and drops you right into the city centre). The room was big and spacious, the shower was powerful and very good! The Salburg card is worth getting for all the sights and for the bus journeys.
