Location is good closer to Salzburg train station and bus terminal. Thanks to the hotel for upgrading a nicer room for me. The room is large, clean and comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Only arriving day the drink is complimentary

After checking out, i realised from the property info that the city tax is EUR3.55 per pax per nite; so it should be EUR14.20 but i was asked to pay EUR24/-? Why? And due to some review about charging of water in the room so I went to check with reception and was told that only the water on arrival day is free then shouldnt the hotel only replace the water during room cleaning only if guest asked for it, else it is like setting a trap for people to just drink it thinking that it is a norm with other hotels that these are complimentary? I think the hotel must serously reflect themselves on this else it does look very petty on the hotel side. Would appreciate the hotel take this positively as a healthy feedback and not to deny since I did asked and confirmed with hotel recept that subsequent drink is chargable. Other than that, it is a comfortable, great location and clean hotel.

The hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of the railway station. The facilities were clean and modern and the front desk was very helpful. However, the AC didn’t work as it was still heating season, and it was sweltering hot in the nights during our stay (temperature in the 60s). We were advised to keep the windows open, but that didn’t help much. The front desk was kind enough to supply a fan after we complained, and it helped a little bit, but not much. Room cleaning was horrible - they didn’t refill the bath soap and we ran out of it during the 3rd day of our stay.

The room was right in front of construction site. When I got the room key, there was no warning. I am sure a lot of people have complained before so it should have been much appreciated if the front desk told me up front.

This hotel seems like it would be convenient because it’s close to the main station, however, it’s about as far from old town as you can get and outside the main station is just nasty. The hotel in and of itself was clean. The worst part of the stay for us was the construction on the huge building being built next door. Nowhere on the website or when booking did it mention that the lot literally right outside our window would have construction from sun up to sun down. It was so loud, but when we asked to be moved, they switched us to a much smaller room so we decided to just stay and try to play noise in our room to be able to get any sleep past 6am. I’m sure it’s fine when there’s no construction, but it was super disappointing overall. The phone in our room didn’t work either so Everytime we needed towels or a blanket, we had to walk down and back.

Lovely stay

Had a great stay here, the staff were very welcoming, room was large, comfortable and really clean. Very close to bus and train station. Within walking distance of old town about 20 mins. A great base to explore Salzburg.

Needs refurbishing and a lot of work

Our first room was dirty, with pubes and hair on the bathtub. We asked to change rooms and they gave us with a slightly smaller bed, after saying it was the last room “of the same category” they had. The new room still had some hairs on the tub, and the fridge had mold inside. The window has poor sound isolation which combine to a massive construction zone just outside made for a “good” alarm clock at 7:30am. All in all the hotel is in pretty bad shape, the hallways were dirty with confetti and other visible garbage, which suggests it wasn’t vacuumed at least since New Year’s Eve (one week before our stay). On the bright side is the staff, that tried to solve what they could and offered a discount to compensate for what they couldn’t. At the current status, I would rate it as a 2 stars hotel at most.
