Needs refurbishing and a lot of work

Our first room was dirty, with pubes and hair on the bathtub. We asked to change rooms and they gave us with a slightly smaller bed, after saying it was the last room ā€œof the same categoryā€ they had. The new room still had some hairs on the tub, and the fridge had mold inside. The window has poor sound isolation which combine to a massive construction zone just outside made for a ā€œgoodā€ alarm clock at 7:30am. All in all the hotel is in pretty bad shape, the hallways were dirty with confetti and other visible garbage, which suggests it wasnā€™t vacuumed at least since New Yearā€™s Eve (one week before our stay). On the bright side is the staff, that tried to solve what they could and offered a discount to compensate for what they couldnā€™t. At the current status, I would rate it as a 2 stars hotel at most.

Gone into the toiletā€¦

We spent Christmas hare in 2016 and the property was amazing. We came back to Salzburg in 2024 Christmas and this property was so unappealing. This really well cared for hotel in 2016 has declined in to a cheap bus stop kind of motel 6 feeling. Stains on the rugā€¦room didnā€™t feel cleanā€¦the check in was not welcoming and we were charged $175 euros for services that were complementary the last timeā€¦it felt like a cheap hustle to make a buckā€¦certainly not a place to spend Christmas. We immediately booked another hotel so we didnā€™t have to spend another night in this flea bag hotel. Enough said???

The hotel tried to double-charge me. Lucky that after paying at the check in, I looked into my booking records a few month back on Expedia and bank transactions, and realized I have already paid for my stay. I want back to them and got the payment reversed. Phew!

This is a bad hotel. Did not honor our two-bed reservations in four separate rooms, and wasnā€™t interested in assisting, explaining, or compensating when we told them of the error. Adult family members who should not be sharing beds with one another were asked to do just that. Each room comes with exactly 2 limp pillows, 2 threadbare bath towels, a squeeze bottle of shampoo/shower gel combo affixed to the bathroom wall, and a TV with no signal.If you request housekeeping services, they just pull the comforter up on your bed and walk out - they donā€™t replenish toilet paper, glasses, or towels or empty trash cans. This is a poorly managed hotel filled with apathetic staff who are bad at their jobs.

Perfect location close to the train hub. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable! We were able to walk to the main attractions of this gorgeous city

Location is very convenient for an early train as itā€™s quite close but not as close to the touristy area as one would hope. The services are only three stars as I requested additional pillows which never came and housekeeping came into the room twice during our stay while we were in the room which woke us up.

Close to main station. Easy to drop bags and go from station. Staff very friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Does get warm though as no AC on in the cooler months and temp was high for end of October. Pool nice but small. Plenty of towels available. Would definitely stay again.

Itā€™s one big construction site inside the hotel and outside. If you enjoy the blissful sound of a Jack hammer and excavator at 7am, you will love this place. The rooms are also set to about 26 degrees with no option to cool them.

The hotel was very hot and we had to leave our window open. Keys had to be rekeyed which meant down 6 stories and long walk back to desk. Extra Pillows also had to be retrieved from the front desk. Very Convenient to train. Not a great area, but we were safe.
