The Hotel Contessa is beautiful, with an excellent location right on the San Antonio Riverwalk. This walkable, convenient location is a definite plus. More information about the dining options at or near the hotel would be helpful. Adding the high price of parking on to the price of staying at the hotel makes for a very expensive stay.

Extra Spacexwas nice

Having the extra space with the suite was great. Comfy bed, nice sectional, cool wood doors to the bathroom. The tub/shower area was the only part that wasn’t updated, which is too bad. The showerhead is old and not efficient, the drain didn’t work and the tub needs replaced or reglazed. The restaurant was good, however both meals we had an issue but the staff made everything right both times.

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Contessa. The bellboy, AJ, was exceptionally courteous and informative. The hotel lobby and river-level lobby with bar (which featured live music on both evenings of my stay) were both aesthetically pleasing and immaculately maintained. The entire building exuded a delightful fragrance. The room was clean and I particularly appreciated the separate living room area from the bedroom, with a spacious bathroom conveniently located between them. On the first night, the air conditioner was not functioning properly. Within five minutes of contacting the front desk, a maintenance technician arrived and promptly resolved the issue, ensuring that the air conditioner operated efficiently throughout the remainder of my stay. The rooftop pool area was quite enjoyable, although it could have benefited from improved maintenance and cleaning. The hot tub was severely underfilled and not hot. However, upon informing the front desk promptly and requesting assistance, the maintenance team quickly rectified the situation, restoring the hot tub to its desired temperature. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking to experience downtown San Antonio or conduct business in the area.

My girl and I stayed here for her birthday and had a great experience. Perfect spot for the river walk. Close to everything. The friendliest staff. Hotel room was great with a river view and marriage island. Will definitely be coming back!

My stay was fantastic from the moment I parked my car until I arrived at my room. It was clean, spacious, and I can't emphasize enough how clean it was! We stayed on the 10th floor, where our room featured a nice bed and two TVs. The service and staff were wonderful throughout our visit. I particularly enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the food was delicious. The hotel is very accessible to the River Walk and is conveniently located close to everything; it’s just a five-minute walk to the mall and only minutes away from the nightlife. I definitely plan to return to this hotel!

Hotel was great, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good location. The restaurant was not very good at all. Went for breakfast and was served coffee with dirty dishes. The cream cup had lipstick on it and the coffee cup looked to have dried up soap on the rim. Tacos served at breakfast they should really be ashamed of being in San Antonio. The eggs were beat to death making them flat and the chorizo mixed in was obviously burnt leaving a bitter taste. Also I’m not sure if this is a thing but they served hot fruit on the plates and it was very disgusting. Hotel is great the restaurant needs lots of work. Good thing there are lots of other restaurants on the river walk to go to in a short distance from here
