After I paid they tell me the deluxe room was upstairs and he put us in smoking room that smelled like an ashtray and infested with bedbugs

The whole room look disgusting from the beginning. Normally La Quinta hotels are nice and clean. If I could upload pictures on here I would. Never in my life would I thought I’d find feeling bed bugs. Terrible experience late at night with my kids just to have to run out in the middle of the night. Had to find the next hotel available. Customer service was the worse when I tried telling them about the issue. I guess it happens all the time bc “Gary” seemed pretty calm about it!
