Very good breakfast buffet, good exercise room, helpful desk staff, good HEB across street. Terrible elevators - so s-l-o-w. Ask for a lower-level room so you can take the stairs! Several outlets in room need replacement - loose contacts result in iffy charging of phone or power for laptop.

Very nice hotel. Good breakfast. Can walk to riverwalk area from hotel but it’s a good 20 minute walk. Not as close as we thought the hotel would be.

I wanted to find a hotel closer to the main part of the Riverwalk so that we wouldn't need to drive the car to get there. Most of the time we had to drive, park, and then walk. The worst part of the La Quinta stay was the food for the provided breakfast. I usually will only stay at a motel or hetel that does provide the breakfast, but tghe breakfast food needs to be considerable better than what we experienced at the La Quinta in San Antonio. /tThe eggs were a pre-canned circular disk that had the consistency of plastic or cardboard and were absolutely tasteless. Also, there was little to no variation from one day to the next. On the plus side the staff was pleasant and the rooms and hotel lobby were clean.
