Beautiful historic hotel. Hard to find due to all the construction going on. Room was small but again it is historic. Staff was friendly. I didn’t understand charging $75 a night for ??? Extra and then refunding later. We are ages 74 and 85, what damage would we do? Used Valet parking, incredibly expensive. But centrally located and we mostly walked everywhere. Great atmosphere.

The area right now in San Antonio is undergoing construction. Even with all the construction in the area, we still had a great time. City walk is a must see, a boat tour or a bus tour is a must do. And for anyone who’s into history, there’s plenty of it.

Beautiful historic hotel. Next to the Alamo and close to the river walk. Lots of dining options. This is an older hotel and the air conditioning has some issues keeping the room cool. But they do have signage up when you check in about that. Over all a very nice hotel. Staff is attentive and friendly. I would stay there again.

The hotel’s location was great, but we wish we had been informed about the extensive construction in the area. The road closures made it difficult to find the valet entrance, which was frustrating. Additionally, our room was uncomfortably cold—it never warmed past 64 degrees, even after we called the front desk for assistance. Unfortunately, the issue wasn’t resolved, so we didn’t get a good night’s rest. Since we returned to our room late, we didn’t bother calling again. Overall, while the location was convenient, these issues made our stay less enjoyable.

Loved staying at this historical hotel across the street from the Alamo. Many of the amenities of a current hotel. Only negative on this stay was the construction going on outside near the entrance. It slowed down arrival and departure, but inside the hotel everything was fine.
