Poco Loco with Friends

We had a great stay at Poco Loco. House and property were as described. Loved all of the porches and being able to walk through this property in the mornings. River access was a little tough but Charles informed me that they are going to update their property map with a better location so that issue may be solved. Kitchen is very small, something to keep in mind if you plan to cook for a large group during your stay.

Spring break

We had an amazing time visiting this property and spending time together walking the grounds. Perfect for large families! Our kids were never bored and never even asked for tvs or devices! Family that runs the ranch is the sweetest. They are extremely welcoming and helpful. We will definitely visit again in the future.

July Poco Loco Ranch

This was one of the best vacation rentals we've ever been to. The pool was amazing and so was the huge game room. Hosts were extremely helpful and there was a lovely welcome basket to greet us upon arrival. Highly recommend Poco Loco for a family vacation. There was something for everyone. The only bummer was that the river was too low to tube, but Charles let us know before we arrived so we knew what to expect. It was still great to walk down to the river and skip rocks and it was teeming with birds and toads and little fish. And as a delightful bonus, there was a wee baby cow that we passed on our hike.

Delightful family stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - our family of 5 plus my parents - at the Poco Loci Ranch. Charles was a great host and there is plenty to do and enjoy on the property. Property has tubes to enjoy the Guadalupe River, a grill by the pool, firewood for an evening campfire and s’mores, and plenty of beds and towels. Highly recommend for a family get together!

Christmas at the Poco Loco

We had a great time despite the freezing temperatures creating some challenges for us and the Hosts. They were great and very responsive. Even without being able to enjoy the water this place is a wonderful place to enjoy with the whole family!

The place was perfect. It had a blend of a historical rustic feel with all the modern convivences. The property is absolutely beautiful and the long ride to the river was so scenic. We saw awesome wildlife and enjoyed every minute ! If we had to change anything it would be to have stayed longer !

We loved everything about our stay.

We so enjoyed our stay at Poco Loco. The pool was amazing and we were so thankful for it on the hot Texas afternoons. We also used the game room daily and had a family tournament on our last day. The property is beautiful and loved walking to the river in the mornings. This was a wonderful location for our family of 11 to enjoy a quiet, relaxing vacation. Absolutely perfect.

Stayed with a 10-person group of guys to celebrate my bachelor party. Location is perfect, just outside of town. There is something for everyone between the pool, river, game room, and property. Melinda is a great host, and we communicated several times prior to our arrival. I would stay there again without question.

Peace in the Hill Country

This was the most peaceful vacation we have had. It is away from all the hassle of the city. No noise except for the wind blowing and the cattle mooing. It is close enough to Boerne to do any shopping you need to do. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed plus ingredients for s'mores! The house is not modern but it is very cozy and comfortable. We loved the pool and spent every evening there watching the stars come out. The river level was low but that was perfect for the little boys in our family. Melinda and her husband were very gracious and took our family on a hayrack ride around the property.

Fantastic fun for friends and family

We just finished our 4 nights and it was even better than we could have ever imagined. Melinda was a wonderful host and met us at the ranch at check in to give us a tour and help with any and all the information we needed to make our stay care free.

Just perfect

We had such a wonderful family vacation at PocoLoco. The property had something for everyone in our group. The pool area and hot tub (which the hostess went out of her way to fix when it malfunctioned during our stay) we’re so fun even in the chilly springtime weather. There was beautiful land to run, explore and hike on. The kitchen was well organized and stocked. And the game room was perfect spot for our family to spend evenings laughing and joking around. What is more, the hosts made us feel at home by giving us a full property tour, accommodating all our needs, and by providing answers to every question. They are very kind and friendly folks! We collected some beautiful family memories to take home with us along with the wild turkey feathers we came across on the property. We would absolutely visit Poco Loco again. It is a very special spot.

We Shall Return

Let me say first of all, if you’re looking for an updated property, this is not your place. It is rustic, comfortable and well equipped. The owners are gracious to share their family ranch which has been theirs for over 50 years. The main ranch house is real Texas Hill Country, and has been expanded from the original 2 room dog-trot house which may be 100 years old. The pool, the pool house, the enormous game room, and all the patios are a big plus. The land, the river and wildlife are all beautiful; and we watched great sunsets on the hill looking across the Guadalupe valley. The owners are gracious, friendly, and eager to help.

Amazing pool side Scenery!’

The Poco Loco Ranch is such a special place to stay to make wonderful memories with family or friends. Right from the start Melinda and Brian treated us like family. They were warm and extremely helpful in every aspect! We couldn’t get our grandkids out of the pool but we didn’t mind as the peaceful land that surrounds it is breathtaking! Also thank you again Brian for treated our grandkids to such a fun hayride! The main house is warmly decorated and so comfy. There’s also a guest house poolside and a huge game room. We also enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit one evening! It was sad to leave the Poco Loco Ranch but we are counting our days till we return! Thank you again Melinda and Brian for sharing your wonderful family Ranch house with our family!

Hill Country Retreat

Stunning property in Texas Hill Country. Many different opportunities for play and adventure indoor and out. Private river access and pool provided endless entertainment during peak Texas Summer heat. Game room popular as well with all ages and handy during brief rain and late evening fun. Hosted 10 with room to spare. Close to Boerne for shopping, food if for some reason you would want to leave the property. Cave without a name a national treasure.

Wonderful Ranch Vacation

Lots to love about this property. The game room was a huge hit. The separate guest house was great. Well groomed yard. Tubing down the river. And, of course, the stars! :)

Perfect place to get away from it all!

We enjoyed our stay at Poco Loco ranch. I loved cooking for the family in the big kitchen and the kids ( and adults) loved the pool and game room! The property is beautiful and so much wildlife! We even spotted a great horned owl on the ground hunting! Armadillos and deer abound. All in all a great time was had by all! Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Great for groups.

Great Weekend Get-a-way

We loved our stay at the Poco Loco. Upon arrival, Melinda showed us around the entire property and house, as well as how to get to the two river access points. We loved the river, pool, and game room. Everything was built to entertain, relax, and spend time with friends and family. Melinda and Charles helped provide directions on how to float the river, as well as recommendations on great near by golf courses. We’ll definitely be back!
