This rare 2/1 beach cottage is just steps away from all Ocean Beach has to offer: dog beach, surfing, swimming and some of the best local shopping and dining experiences. The freshly remodeled 1950's styled beach cottage was designed to embrace the classic nature of the historic building. It is equipped with all the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable: outdoor BBQ(shared), Smart TV, one on-site parking spot and some beach day essentials found in your personal storage unit. In addition to the standard bedrooms the cottage is equipped with 3 Murphy Beds which allows us to accommodate up to 7 guests. For larger groups, we also have a matching 1/1 sister cottage (sleeps 5) next door that can be booked in concert.

The property is in a PERFECT spot for people traveling with pets and also folks with no pets. It’s a 2 minute, across the street, jump to the cutest and happiest place on earth, the dog beach. on the other side of the rocks is the people beach. The space was so cute, clean, simple but adorable with great beach vibes. It wasn’t over decorated or cluttered. Very spacious for a bungalow. Ocean beach is my favorite place in San Diego. It’s giving SAN Francisco eclectic meeets Santa Cruz chill. Loved our experience so much. We didn’t want to leave.

The location itself was nice, but the surrounding area had significant safety concerns. There were many homeless individuals always laying on the back lawn, with some visibly using meth under blankets, and there were reports of dogs becoming ill or even dying after ingesting the meth residue. This was a big concern as I have 2 dogs.Inside the unit, there was a persistent fruit-fly infestation that was already present upon arrival and lasted throughout the month-long stay. Several windows either lacked coverings or were caulked shut, preventing fresh air circulation—especially in the bedroom. The lighting was very limited, and there were no bedside lamps for reading at night. Additionally, the owners repeatedly attempted to come in the unit to remove the router, which was concerning since I work remotely and need stable Wi-Fi. I think I'd pick somewhere else next time.

This charming bungalow offers an unbeatable location right on Ocean & Dog's Beach. If you're looking for the closest accommodations to the beach, this is it! I was initially concerned about parking my truck, but there was plenty of space available. The convenience of the location cannot be overstated - there's a breakfast spot just 70 feet from the front door and an amazing pizza place only a two-minute walk away.The interior is well-appointed, featuring a newly furnished kitchen and a large smart TV (bigger than my own at home) with pre-loaded Amazon and Netflix, which was perfect for watching Thursday night football. Both bedrooms are generously sized with comfortable, lump-free beds. When we had a minor issue with the door code, the owner was responsive and resolved it within about 10 minutes.I honestly couldn't recommend this place more highly - it's as if I owned it myself. A perfect beach getaway with all the amenities you need and an absolutely prime location

Great place! Communication with property owner was excellent when I called to report the door smart lock wasn’t working anymore. It was fixed within a few hours. The left side of the house has a little walkway to the rear of the house, which gave an easy access to the dog beach.

Great Stay!

We stayed for 4 nights and had an awesome time. Location is amazing! Right out the back gate and your at the dog beach area. Easy to walk around OB for food and shopping. Unit size was perfect for the 4 of us, kids loved the Murphy Beds. Mattresses were super comfy. A couple of minor cons, no hooks in bathroom for towels, living room lighting is a little dark at night, and the sugar ants which are just an annoyance. No broom to sweep up sand after being at the beach. Again, all minor and would not deter from renting this spot again.
